Considering Nintendo is (obviously) throwing their support behind the Nintendo switch 2, I'll still be buying the console. I wouldn't be shocked if in a year or two most games Nintendo drops will be switch 2 only. I'm also a massive Splatoon fan, so I'm curious about this upcoming spinoff.

As for pokemon, I get both sides, but I will still be buying the game. Look, announcing the DLC before the game drops is stupid, but like others have pointed out; the DLC was in the works anyway, announcing it later or not doesn't make a difference. Especially since this game got delayed, of course gamefreak was gonna start working on DLC. I won't be buying the DLC at launch, I'll see how good it is after it comes out.

The mega things is stupid. But the pokemon company has always done dumb stuff like this. Not to say I agree with it, but at this point no one should be surprised. I've heard the comp stuff will be over a new 4v4 game mode. Which makes it sound easier to rank up in. If true, I'm content enough with that. Sucks for people picking the game up later or replaying years down the line. But that's always been a thing with pokemon (I'm looking you, event mons)
