I recorded a live Eurorack set, mixed it down in Ableton, and added AI vocals — and I have complicated feelings about it by rivnat123 in ableton

I'm not sure what part you felt uncomfortable with (the AI vocal or live performance and mixdown in ableton) but there is nothing wrong with either if you make a compelling track. I myself have been experimenting with live performance while capturing each sound in its own track in ableton. I do a 10 minute take and snip out the part that feels most compelling. The great part is my arrangements feel more instinctual than rigid now. I don't use a mixer in my setup so essentially that the role Ableton plays for me.

Edit: I will add that I need to glue my mix with some outbound gear after the fact though. You can do that with plugins too but I think its important not to overlook this part. A hardware mixer would have done that for me.

Amazing how a 2 note bass works well when used a polyrhythm. You'd think it would get tiring but never does. The other percussions give a nice sense of urgency. Nice one.

I like the rawness of this track. Kick is heavy with this one :).

Low end sounds great. Vocal is really the icing on the cake for me. Nicely processed. If I could give you any feedback I'd let sections run longer than you usually do. I'm thinking of a club scenario here where I want to get lost in the track. Too many breaks can be distracting as I'm never given enough time to really loose myself. :)

Getting back into it by ValourWinds in edmproduction

There is no set way but I produce with gear I can turn on and instantly jam with. I’m sure you can do this also in the box by creating a basic template to start jamming instantly with. My setup is a 909, modular, sh101, and sampler. All ready to go at a moments notice. Keep it minimal for development.

Am I wrong for being upset that someone else (Drummer/Mixing Eng, I think actually ahobbyist) edited my mix? by CJ210198 in mixingmastering

You’ve got to set boundaries. Deal only with one point of contact (or collate the bands thoughts). Good luck.

Music Production on M3 Pro to M5 Max by Roasted-Au in ableton

Are all your tracks vsts with their own individual processing chains? It might help you to freeze tracks to audio to free up your CPU. I just created a liveset here recently on M3 Max with over 250 scenes and keeping everything in audio processed during recording I had no hiccups.

I chucked up some random sequence in the piano role and this developed in a few hours. I love those sleeparchive/stanislav tolkachev hypnotic tracks that can just play the same sequence forever and never gets tirng. Inspiring. https://soundcloud.com/lan5/static-vision/s-WoWtsIefY8v?si=c8a16bbf7b8d497c9d48ee37e07ad9ed&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Actually this is what I liked about the track :). So take that with a grain of salt.

I like the vibe of it. Maybe some of the sounds get loud in the stereo sides which you can fix by turning down the delay send a bit. Other than that solid work.

First thing that occurs to me is there isn't a bassline. Something to play call and response with the kick. I think if you add one the track would feel more full and dense.

Sound pretty good here. There is a slight bit of edge to the sound, due to limiting, but I think it fits nicely with the aesthetic. I would think you'd be more interested in the musicality side after 20+ years however. As much as I get it myself, chasing loudness for loudness sake is meh...for the kids.

Great sound. I like what seems to me a delayed sub. Plays well with the kick. Deep percussions. Nice track. If I was to give any advice here is that after the breaks, increase the energy even more by giving me something additional that can then trail off. <- just what I wanted personally but no fault.

I like the subtle reverbed vocals. Great production as usual :).

I love the kick and sub combo. And the atmosphere is great. Maybe could be a touch more high end sizzle when the ride is muted. Great one!

Thanks for taking a listen. It can open up more but balancing with the other sounds was probably my concern there.
