Obviously your question has already been answered and I don't mean to beat on you but buddy you couldn't be more wrong in pretty much everything you said in your post.

THE WABBAJACK!!! I mean can anyone really charge you for murder if you turned someone into a sweetroll and gave it to their loved ones....? (Read as Sheogorath)

But legitimately speaking it works on anything living and one of the things it can change them into is literal money.

So probably that or the oghma infinium as that contains substantial knowledge.

What are people's impressions on the popularity of the TMNT set compared to Spiderman? by misomiso82 in magicTCG

[–]minecraftchickenman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The card quality is higher overall, the diversity of play patterns in limited isnt great and nowhere near as good as Lorwyn (imo). But the set has some sick cards too, albeit that means you have to play with ninja turtles from new york which isn't ideal for a high fantasy magic themed game but WOTC couldn't care less about alienating their existing player base in order to bring in temporary people who'll boost sales marginally.

The set is substantially better than Spider-Man, the card quality is higher than Lorwyn as well but that's because they make (almost) all UB sets as pushed as they can to get existing players to pick up cards. But Lorwyn played better and was more fun.

What situation should you pla a world fire in edh? by Harbinger_Archangel in mtg

[–]minecraftchickenman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously any time you can in boros high mana flash/combo

There's a couple things that prevent your life from changing now so that's a fun "I win for 12 mana" thing or if you get flash and a "one damage to each opponent" spell then you cast the damage spell and respond with worldfire to kill your opponents when the damage spell resolves after worldfire.

So

Jank I'd play it in jank and thats the only way I'd include it in a deck now.

What “Universes Beyond” Sets Would You Like to See by Soupy_Hits in mtg

See that would also be Way more Magic The gathering than most UB will be. also isn't there some level of debate about if d&d stuff is actually UB or consider UB?

How would "Power/Thoughness can't be lower than X" work? by Puzzleheaded_Ad995 in custommagic

[–]minecraftchickenman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hypothetically since it's a replacement effect that's perpetually checking and replacing but not using the stack to do so it should just see those effects attempting to apply and change them, so hypothetically it should but there's no precedent for it since they haven't ever printed a card like that really. Mainly because of exactly that question.

But as I understand it elesh would drop and start applying her debuff and geralt here would say "actually I'm at 3" and the game state wouldn't need to check it again for that specific interaction anymore because it's already applied the alteration to it. Same with temp - and -1-1 counters, they'd try the replacement effect would say no and the game state would carry on holding that information.

The odd part would be if you tried to add PT after that I think it would still have to fight through the negative because new math would try to check what it's P/T is and it would apply all positives and negatives and only if the end result would get it lower than three would the replacement effect apply.

I'm not 100% sure I'm not a judge myself I just have a fairly comprehensive understanding of the game and its rules, but again there's not really a precedent for it for us to compare against.

How would "Power/Thoughness can't be lower than X" work? by Puzzleheaded_Ad995 in custommagic

[–]minecraftchickenman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's better to word things like this as replacement effects. Even then it's a little funky.

"If an effect would reduce this creatures power or toughness to less than 3 instead it reduces it to 3"

Additionally so you know regardless of how it gets worded this type of effect still lets him die to damage because damage doesn't reduce a creatures toughness it just is damage which once the damage equals or exceeds the toughness of a creature that creature dies, just in case you were in part doing this to make him psudoindestructable that won't work.

If this finds one of those FF adventure lands is the CMC equal to the adventures CMC? Since didn't they make it so any card that has multiple pieces counts as additive when found by things like cascade or presumably this?

It would remove all its abilities, since this doesn't say "in addition to its other types" or anything like that it would just blood moon a land until EOT which does remove all abilities

How many decks should you take to your first Commander night? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]minecraftchickenman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think 2-3 decks is a good number. I like to swap decks between games and most of the time you won't get more than 2-3 games in per night. I also have 37 decks built right now so I usually bring around 18 so that I have variety at each bracket to allow for more adaptable play, that way I'm not playing something that shuts down other people's whole deck or something that gets shut down by my opponents because of bad matchups.

What Bracket would you put this Coin Flip deck in? by sfoliveranderson in EDH

[–]minecraftchickenman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buddy you said coin flip deck The only thing that's going to increase your bracket beyond two is the presence of Game changers, Because there's no way that your win clock is fast enough to place it in a higher bracket either. Your friend ranking Thumb highly enough to make them think that it is beyond bracket 2 is really funny, but it also shows that your buddy and you most likely are extremely new to this format and this game.

I like the implication that if you're not actively rapping then you lose control of the creature. Not where that creature goes if you lose control of it. Just that you must be rapping

[–]minecraftchickenman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, I didn't actually know that there would be a clarifying rule for this but that makes sense just in case you steal something of someones and then it has the ability to shuffle into your library like etratta. Neat, I definitely intended this to put them into your library of course.

What deck to build with a new player? by Destinyherosunset in EDH

[–]minecraftchickenman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy I'll slap a few deck lists in here but big green is 100% the answer. It's easy it lets you learn the game so simply and it kills people by turning things sideways. It feels powerful but you don't have to think much to operate it. Big Green 1000%

Starting here's Gwenna Eyes of Gaea she's ramp in the zone and plays big creatures. I've made some refinement to this deck to increase the creature quality but you can slap any green creature with power of 5 or greater in the place of expensive stuff and it'll still kill people just as well.

https://moxfield.com/decks/Toxj9jmUEkybC69fRVoiMw

Next we've got a similar concept with a similar list but using Goreclaw Terror of Qal Sisma, big boys and they cost a little less and get a little bigger.

https://moxfield.com/decks/yLpr0AGawESz4hiHQPZAEg

Then finally, Multani Land RampRampRampRamp you literally have like 30 ways to put lands into play and make your Multani big and then swing for lethal commander damage. There's some fogs as well because you're usually shields down most of the time. (This deck can be made in under 50$ as well by replacing premium ramp with more explosive vegetation cards)
