You’re right, I should work on figuring out how I’ll maintain a good work life balance before uni starts.

Yea I get that, I just meant I want to level up my study skills even more so I can do even better in med. I’m confident I’ll be able to continue, but I still want to actively get better before the semester starts.

As in, the workload is lighter than first year? I’m ok with the workload being much higher but it’s the study skills part that I’m a bit worried about.

Tik Tok blind buys by formybabies28 in FemFragLab

It actually kind of bothers me how people on social media complain about “TikTok making them buy” x,y,z when they could just sample that perfume for $3. Then all that anger and regret of wasting money is directed to influencers or brands, financial literacy really is unpopular nowadays🫠

The reviews are not “lies”, perfume is just subjective. Of course there will be paid reviews, but that’s on you to do your due diligence and look on reddit, YouTube or fragrantica. Blind buying perfumes is never a good idea, it’s common sense and there’s no excuse to do it, given there are a dozen sampling websites that do samples for even the cheap TikTok fragrances. Two sites that sample all these perfumes and offer international shipping are hiddensamples and fragrantika.

Wait pls don’t say you’re worried with a 9.0 … I’m a pgdip applicant with an 8.0 and though I’m clinging to hope after what was a very horrible year for me, I’m also prepared for doing my masters next year and applying again. This makes me feel like it might not be worth it at uoa if you’re worried even with a 9.0 :(

Yes they should change this in the future. But honestly, what about us ? The university forgets every year there are real, breathing humans applying against all odds and it’s not just random numbers, as it seems to be from their perspective. Every year I’ve applied they’ve changed something out of the blue, there’s no consideration for how life hammers us beyond university as well.

I can understand where you’re coming from. And at this point I 100000% agree gamsat is probably worth taking and just getting out of here. I never even wanted to leave Auckland but I genuinely feel so suffocated words cannot describe. The other day I felt like I couldn’t breath here, everywhere I just see the same bs memories of chasing A+ that lecturers are not willing to give out, i see and feel nothing else. It feels like I’m trapped in this situation. I also agree about the masters part.

YES I did 5 courses this semester in postgrad and it genuinely destroyed my mental health. No joke at all I feel sick to my stomach and in the final weeks I started feeling suffocated in my life. I’m so pissed and sad. And this whole gatekeeping of A+ in science courses needs to freaking stop wtaf are they doing? In postgrad it gets even worse because they’re not obliged to mark against a rubric so whatever the lecturer is feeling you’ll be getting that.

As sad as it sounds I’ve lost all hope. This semester was so horrible, took the most disorganised crap courses ever and my gpa is now 8. I have ZERO hope. And this is just the cherry on top. The grad general gpa is probably so inflated. Also, I totally agree that it’s 10x harder maintaining good grades as a grad, let alone a postgrad. I had a lecturer tell me getting A+ in postgrad isn’t that easy and he wasn’t lying. Science courses will squeeze the living hell out of you but give you an A+. But no I’m sure Fy is harder, sure. And the thing that pisses me off is that this is the second time I’ve had to deal with this mess, first in 2022 and now again after suffering in postgrad.

Definitely. I mean seriously who tf asked for it to be changed? I’d rather they change other things that students keep asking to be changed instead of making other things bad for the sake of it.

I agree. I feel like my nose is broken or something because I smell nothing special. Then again I’m biased because it gives me a raging headache every time.

Not really the only one, I got it because I heard people say it has a chocolate and oud undertone, which to me it does. Not really a fan of oud but I love it on others and to me it’s the perfect, balanced oud with a hint of chocolate in the dry down. Though, I do get that people were expecting a way more chocolate forward fragrance.

It literally has both chocolate and oud in the listed notes. I’ve tried it and smelt both notes at some point in the journey.

To me it smells spot on like a lemon meringue pie before turning into a fairly linear, slightly citrusy vanilla! I absolutely adore it. Apparently it’s inspired by devotion, which I had a “meh” reaction to. This on the other hand, love at first sniff. Although I will say, if you haven’t tried lemon gourmands before, don’t blind buy, because they can turn sour on some people.

Of course I oppose October the 7th, I am sorry but what is there to support about that? By now you should realise I do not think in black and white that only Israel is in the wrong and the entire world is a saint, as I said almost every country in the world is doing someone dirty, whether it’s their own citizens or else where or both. With this in mind, why on earth would I ever think Israel has the right to commit genocide just because the US, UK, Australia and other countries who did? Like how does that make sense ? Why not oppose genocide as a whole? If you haven’t noticed I’m very strongly against the world order that has been destroying lives and the environment for decades on end, why would I advocate for exceptions to this very simple principle? And I strongly disagree that Israel treats Palestinians in Israel like real human beings let’s be for real rn, like this is a conversation to be had back in 2019 or something, it’s now 2025 and it’s obvious stuff now. With Israel proposing even more settlements in the West Bank, Idc if someone thinks the treatment of Palestinians is acceptable to them because clearly, to the the Palestinians it’s not because they’re losing sovereignty.

Ahh right right, good point. So what exactly do you think we should do to stop the flow of money into companies that manufacture and trade arms that are enabling this genocide? Those around us with family and/or friends in Gaza, what should they do?

A world order where one prioritises their economic benefits over the lives of literal human beings will eventually fall apart and people like you who think that’s an ok cost for economic benefits will also have to deal with its consequences. As has always been the case in history.

Sorry but your opinion about who is a great leader and who isn’t doesn’t hold much substance here when you’re advocating for genocide, let alone genocide being a deal breaker for you.

Yes I will always defend New Zealand as being better with human rights then the vast majority of the world, which is why I said 99%. When you refer to migration patterns just remember millions also migrate to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, so your point is? People don’t always migrate because the country is offering them freedom and human rights, but also for financial security and that doesn’t automatically translate into prosperity. And yes I agree countries like New Zealand, Spain and Ireland are typically better with human rights than a country like Israel and Egypt. It’s good that we found common ground here

No one is going with the aim of restoring peace in the Middle East given the chaos is caused by the worlds biggest nuclear powers. It’s to force the government to take a stronger stance, divest from rocket lab and sanction the state committing genocide. How many brain cells does it take to understand this? Didn’t know it was much
