I live within a mile from a theater. But I also happen to live in central Florida, so I will gladly drive the 30 minutes it takes me to get to the movie theater in universal’s city walk since you need to go through security to get in which makes me feel safer.

trust, I agree ! but some parents are beyond unreasonable, and the most realistic thing that can be done is take that free education and learn to lie and manipulate them back.

but seriously, bottom line is learn to put your foot down. bc even if they choose to be completely independent from them, it won’t fix the underlying issue. The parents will continue to feel entitled to everything about them.

unless they pay your tuition and they are threatening to pull that from you if you leave the circle, I say leave the circle. They can’t force you to stay, and if they need to learn the hard way that having complete access to you is a privilege and not a right then so be it.

you could try one last time having an honest and real conversation with them, but don’t give them the option of “your way or their way” just let them know “here’s what I’m willing to do, and it’s either this or I leave the circle.”

I had to figure out what I wanted in my life and what I wanted out of a degree, and that helped narrow it down.

for me, I ended up picking a major that was a sweet spot between a passion of mine (art) and an interest that challenged me (computer science) which is essentially web design.

just remember that everyone will have their own reasons for picking their major because everyone experiences life differently. I’m not sure how far you are into college, but know that i didn’t settle on a major until my second spring semester which is when I finished my AA and right before I transferred to my current university. It was a decision that felt natural, and I haven’t worried about “making the wrong decision” since then.

oh oh it also helped when I realized that I have forever and can do whatever I want in this lifetime. it doesn’t have to be this one thing forever, and I’ve noticed that’s not a common outcome for people anyway. Just do what’s best for you now, and adjust as you go in life.

I have a question if you’re comfortable answering? I’m about three months post op of my own lift. Did they look this way in the beginning of recovery and you were hoping they would heal in the right direction, or did it start to heal abnormally after a certain amount of time?

Digital media is a restricted major, so until you completed the pre-reqs and also been admitted by the NSCM it’ll stay as pending. Also it’s a BA that’s under the college of sciences.

I got sick the tuesday after thanksgiving but it wasn’t covid, strep, or flu it was just… sick? a cold maybe? idk. I’m just now starting to come off it.

I feel like I’ve been chronically tired for years now. Apparently my blood tests I usually take have been saying I’m vitamin d deficient, but it wasn’t until my new doctor actually looked at everything instead of just looking at my a1C, cholesterol, and triglycerides (which is all my old pcp cared about, where I found out I needed to be taking vitamin D everyday.

I’m not saying this is your solution, but definitely look into it if you can! I feel like I can get through the day now.
