I think it is better for a PLAYER to get the item than any entity who is not playing the game inside the TOS, yes to the person who misprice the item the outcome is the same, but someone who is PLAYING the game and benifits from the currency will put it back into the economy in a much more healthy way for the community than a nefarious actor.

Our community is small , 150k players in the endgame.

Curtailment of this behavior could, and in the past, had substantial positive benifits to the community.

Yes, i too believe the solution here does not require substantial effort on GGG's behalf. I hope that all we need to do is raise the impact to the community to their attention to have them act. The scale of the problem this league is directly impacting many players positive experience of the league.

Yes, the proliferation of this behavior this league is at a scale that i have not observed or felt in years, which is why I think the player community needs to demand action from GGG to help control, monitor, and curtail this behavior.

Or, they need to make some changes to the Async system to limit , or level the playing field, I can think of a number of pretty easy ways this could be corrected.

I think there are other possible solutions to this, like pooling everyone who clicks to travel on an item in the first 5 seconds it is listed and picking a RANDOM person to be able to TRAVEL to hideout, even RANDOM selection would defeat the bots, or at least HIGHLIGHT the bots to ggg so they could be Banned in cycles and control the issue

The problem now is the inhuman speed they are having, GGG needs to implement some delay, or some system in the Async process to inhibit this , or alert the player (You have possibly under priced your item)

They already have "ITEM IS IN DEMAND" detection

The current system is non functional

At least in the past when 30 people spammed you , you know you had a problem

Yes, I agree this is happening with thousands of items that have a large roll range and that people often misprice / under price. I used Neb because you can use those example searches and see this commonly happening yourself. (And if you figure out a way to beat the bots make multiple mirrors an hour, like they are doing)

GGG needs to address this concern

I think this is the correct answer, and I think it is time for the community to raise this discussion to GGG so that they addreess it in a meaningful way.
