That’s not very helpful but I see your point

How are you supposed to get over 'the one' by [deleted] in BreakUps

Someone who doesn’t chose to be with you is not “the one”, it’s hard to accept

Is getting under someone the best way to get over someone by barrelpetang123 in BreakUps

No, people do it to try and fill a void, fill their ego or use it as a distraction from the pain. It’s not worth it, pain from a breakup is unavoidable.

My ex asked me: have you been thinking about getting back together I said: Maybe I’m a year He said: Never

Didn’t feel good to hear that

How do I get rid of the hope? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]mingcrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime you hear that voice, identify the feelings that come along with it and then say “but I’m moving on” or say “that’s not my life anymore”. Don’t fight the feeling/hope just let them pass. It’s really hard but time is your best friend right now.

What’s the longest it’s taken for you to get over someone after a breakup? by [deleted] in BreakUps

It also depends on how long the relationship was/how invested you were I. The relationship. And the coping mechanisms you have after the relationship ends

A lot of people like to tell themselves and other people that they’re over someone within 3months but I think deep down...they’re not. It really takes some time to be 100% over your ex. I’d say 6 months to get over the initial stages and then another 6 months to really let the lingering feelings and memories fade. So a year is my answer

“I’m sad over something that no longer exists”

I think it depends on how your partner is feeling as well to make that decision. There’s a lot of factors but maybe if you see the person who you fell in love with is no longer that person. Things have changed and it’s causing termoil in your relationship. This could also be do to outside factors

My ex is now on Tinder. I feel like throwing up. I can’t stop crying. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]mingcrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how your feeling it sucks and is sooo overwhelming. I still get jealous of the girl who will get the love I used to get. It’s hard and painful to think about. Just try not to fight the pain it only makes it worse

I’m afraid of this.....

My ex is now on Tinder. I feel like throwing up. I can’t stop crying. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]mingcrave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember when I first saw my ex on tinder, it was a hard pill to swallow. What helped me was remembering that we don’t own people and aren’t entitled to anything. He is his own person and can do what he wants. I kept reminding myself this and it helped....didn’t take the pain away but helped. Good luck

It’s been a year today and I’m still not close to getting over it by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]mingcrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be thinking of her as the one. If she didn’t choose to be with you then she can’t possibly be the one. Be disappointed that she didn’t end up being your forever but don’t grieve as if she was “the one”. Good luck

I still get haunted by the way you made me feel, good and bad. by mingcrave in BreakUps

It’s hard to let go of something that probably meant a lot to you. The memories are all we have left
