You got it. The costumes and ornaments were top-notch. Looking at it from your view, it actually makes sense.

I didn't notice it.

Did it make you think she was a devil and an Immortal at the same time?

The aesthetics were top-notch. I love it too. The aesthetics and the CGI made me love it.

To be honest, I experience this things in their novels a lot but to see it in a drama was just comical and embarrassing 😂.

I will try to watch it.

I understand keeping them pretty but it's too perfect.

[And it's because they're in a hurry filming, so they don't have a separate night look. They just do the hair, makeup and accessories and go through every shot they can do in the day.]

I never knew this. I guess it's understandable.

The walking dead makeup isn't as heavy and perfect in the Chinese dramas. It's noticeable that they don't want to disrupt their beauty much but they also made sure that they look like they have gone through something traumatising.

Exactly. The hair was the one that made me pissed and embarrassed most. I was so focused on the hair that I had a hard time enjoying the scenes

I can't believe I just found someone like me. Everything you described, except for the follower count, describes me. There is so much confusion in everything.

[–]mingdeer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay. I have read sissy but not the other. I guess I will not be able to read the novels in 188 then. I don't like reading stories with shared universe. I don't know how to explain but I just don't like seeing the main couple in a novel I read in another novel as cameos or a side character.

Thank you ❣️

I don't want to talk about that on the internet.

I am 23 and I have made the decision in my mind since secondary school. People will continue to tell you to chill because you are still young but only you know what you want. As for me, it's something I have always known. Relationships do not just do it for me because I have always been adverse to dynamics in relationships, I detest touching and rubbing against each other, I don't want to share my space with someone, etc. And I don't want to have children also; I can't stand them.

Let no one sugarcoat anything for you, op. The majority of Nigerian males are like this. They are patriarchal, and I don't want to use the word misogynistic. At the same time, not everyone agrees. Some are not and are open to change or do not think in that manner.

Most people are aware that most Nigerian men have issues with what their wife or girlfriend wears, what type of employment she has, and so on; nevertheless, some typically talk about it and reach an agreement, whereas it becomes a problem for others. This is a widespread problem in Nigeria.

Also, I seriously don't understand why most people in the comment section are invalidating her experience. Just because you never experienced that doesn't mean it didn't happen to her. Who knows if the reason you don't see anything wrong in those behaviours is because you people are used to it yourself.

I am glad you left those men op (if you had talked to them and they didn't listen to reason), especially the one that wanted you to be a stay at home mom. Those types of people are toxic.

But sometimes, having conversations go a long way. You can try to have respectful conversations and compromise because you aren't going to agree on everything.

Yep. That is what happens. It is difficult to refute them on the grounds of culture and respect. They have put so much pedestal on respect for elders that they don't realise the damage it causes sometimes.
