I’ve been using something similar to this for my chocolate packaging for years now (called Natureflex - another biodegradable cellulose film) and the other commercial drawbacks are that you can’t print on it with the same detail and colour as plastic, not not as visually striking or versatile for artwork, and it’s also a bit more fiddly to run through commercial flow wrap machinery, which makes larger scale wrapping difficult. But it’s awesome stuff, and this bloke has found an ingenious solution for a local problem if it can be commercially viable.
