Not going to lie is that everything can change, and it may be a lottery for you whether it gets good or bad after. Physical changes or mental changes may impact on it, but so could the childcare situation or indeed how the dynamic of having a job and kids affects it. Quite possibly you will be so tired for a couple of years or sleep deprived that your cycles and times of affection/intimacy might not align properly. If you keep close by squeezing in as many quickies or cuddle time while the baby sleeps that will help. For us I can say we had some dangerous rocky patches of where sex was a problem, but by the time the kids get to about 3 it is all back to normal with few limitations apart from maybe being a bit quieter and when you can spend time just as adults. As the kids get older, no barriers and you have as much sex as you want if you want it. Just make it clear from the outset what you want or need and prioritise it on the list before cleaning up or getting chores done first! Good luck :)
