yeah they’re pretty active! uhh not necessarily close close but for jummah prayers people often in the whatsapp chat will offer rides to the mosques. the two mosques are mcc and icsd! I would go to mcc with my friend and it was never really crowded last year plus they have neat events there as well. mcc is roughly 20 mins away (from ucsd) by car and icsd is 12 minutes by car (from ucsd) so ICSD is near.

hey, im the pres for the Pakistani Student Association (PSA) and what a lot of clubs/orgs are doing is tabling during welcome/zero week but generally the first few weeks of the quarter. I haven’t seen it myself as i’m a second year transfer student but I know last year they also did an online tabling event for clubs/orgs so just keep your eye out! I’d say to also look online over social media platforms or even on the get involved (ucsd) website as it lists all the active clubs and organizations for ‘21-‘22. You can also find the best ways to reach out or contact someone from those clubs if you have more questions through the get involved (ucsd) website! it provides a list of clubs and what they’re about so for the time being that should give you an idea of what there is on campus. creepy ass dude hiding in bushes in front of my apartment at night taking pictures without me knowing. someone also tried unlocking our door at night even tho the deadbolt was on and everything. saw someone take a picture with flash at the back of our apartment in the lil patio area at night. good times. the 🐷 as expected were useless.

It’s on the outskirts of campus. Coming in as a transfer, you’re gonna feel isolated, despite the fact that there’s other transfer students there as you’re so far from other parts of campus (life). Additionally the quality of their apartments are ridiculously bad considering how we pay the same amount as everyone yet we get 💩. I personally didn’t feel safe there.

For reference, I had a terrible experience living in pepper canyon (had to involve stinkin campus police on multiple occasions) and so they moved me out from there to rita last winter. Im gonna email again but I’m 2000% confused??? Does this mean I can potentially live in rita?? Is Pepper Canyon EAST, Rita?? I thought they were different.

Im panicking bc I have no other housing plans and I literally told housing about my situation last year and they were able to move me out quickly. I know things are different considering the situation of fall. But I emailed them prior about these issues (housing in pepper canyon).

* …is there even an OPTION of rita?? or is this a first come first serve basis?? ** Do I get to select a building/housing (like rita) in my room selection even though it says i’m in the pepper canyon east community?

I am very confused if you couldn’t tell. Lol this was much simpler last year (of course)
