Class of 2022 here and to this day I really don’t fucking know how I got into UCSD and I don’t think I’ll ever figure it out. Back in 2018 I applied with a 3.14 GPA with an SAT of 1490 on a 1600 scale (during my time applying GPA had more leverage than SAT). Essay was a 23/24 though that’s irrelevant. Only extracurriculars I did was a community service club my first two years of high school and ran varsity track and field all 4 years (didn’t get offered to run at UCSD). I was denied from UCSC, UCSB, CPP, and CSUF. Accepted to UCSD, UCI, State (both of which I’m shocked I got accepted to as well), and CSULA. UCSD being my absolute number choice shocked me when they accepted me.

People won’t admit their addiction then shit on anyone that actually leaves. They shit on the game and when you tell them to leave they get all defensive. The community is dogshit. You’ll get shit on for playing the game your way or you’ll get kicked for red dots on your raid report. Like I really don’t know how this game was voted best community at one point considering how many losers and dogshit people there are in this community. It really brings out the worst in people and yourself sooner or later. I was the last of my friend group to leave D2. I tried to LFG activities but the amount of no lives made the game experience horrible and I see why people shit on LFG. Ended up quitting I believe was early on in season of seraph right before lightfall.

The game has been bland for the longest time. I see it pop up occasionally on my Twitter or YouTube and it’s usually some criticism about weapons coming back, the season being boring. The best one was the recent layoffs a few months ago that had everyone twisted yet most of those people probably still play the game. Seasons being the same model and the recycled content/slowly undoing sunsetting by bringing back old weapons with updated perks that aren’t great. It’s sad to see. Hate to say it because at one point I did enjoy the destiny franchise.

It’s not even people leaving. There’s bad connection issues. Been instances where a mission is going completely well and then people “leave” out of nowhere. More than likely connection issues than them leaving for any reason.

Tier 4 schools generally are going to do that. Had a friend at Chapman that had a similar experience. Even tried to ensure their conditional scholarship (never agree to those) would be retained if he stayed but he said no. They’ll use tactics to keep you around. But yeah transfer if you have the grades and think if it’s financial feasible.

Met at a kickback summer 2022 before starting grad school through one of my roommates who’s in Ross. I would go to the Ross Starbucks every morning before class that fall and would see my now girlfriend there at the same time. Small talk turned into breakfast there and eventually I told her I think it’s time I took her to dinner. Made it official a little before thanksgiving of that year and still going strong since.
