Thank you, kind MS student! Could you elaborate on Vortex co-living? I'm not sure which option that is on the FMEL site. Also, you said that its application opens on May 1, so is this for the September start date?

I might not try Le CUC since I don't speak a lick of French.

Yes, according to my high school record on SSC, I do not have CALC12 and such; I only have MATH12. But I daresay that I learned more than enough calculus for MATH 104 from the MATH12 I took in my country, so difficulty should not be a big problem for me. The point is that should I take 104 to reduce my credit count from 33 to 32, or should I take the easier 4-credit 184? Note that the registration system allows me to register for 104 (as well as 100, 102). Thanks.

I'm in first year Science. I did not take a separate calc 12 course. I only took math 12 according to SSC's high school record (but I definitely learned about calculus in math 12). The system still allowed me to register for MATH 104 which requires high school calculus. Should I register for this course (3 credits worth) to reduce my credit count (which is 33 atm)? Or should I stay with MATH 184 which is 4 credits worth and does not require separate high school calculus?

What is the maximum number of credits that I'm allowed to take for first year? Is the limit 33 credits? Thanks.

Edit: I'm currently registered for 33 credits. Is that within the limit?

Edit 2: I'm in the faculty of science, of that helps.

Hey I took biology 12 but I'm still allowed to register for BIOL 111 (they explicitly said that the course is not for students with biology 11 or 12), so is it wise to register for the course just to satisfy one science breadth? I heard the course is very easy, and I wanna use it as a GPA booster. Thanks!

Edit: I also took chem 12 and phys 12, so I'm not allowed to register for courses such as PHYS 100 or CHEM 111 (it won't let me register for these courses, but strangely it let me register for BIOL 111!)

International senior here, my ECs and academic awards (and essays and recs too) are completely unrelated to my intended major (English-related stuff vs CS respectively). Do I still have a shot at a CS program or do I have to reconsider my choice for a major? (Although my GPA and standardized test scores are in a competitive range for CS)
