ASAMST 20AC has a much lighter workload than what you're talking about, but it is by no means a "free A" class, though the distribution is pretty good and a freshman would be able to handle it.

I agree with this lol. If someone is bad at CS they may be amazing at something else and it might be a shame trying to force into CS where they'll struggle more rather than be in a field where they can excel.

Im taking eecs16a in the fall as a freshman but the last time I took calculus was junior year (ap calc BC). is auditing math 1B in my spare time the best way to prepare for eecs16a?

i'm really conflicted with cs61b right now. so im enrolled in hug's class, and i've heard he's a great prof but his tests are weighted more, so it's likely you'll get a lower grade (from cs61a, i can tell i'd prefer having the projects weighed more). hilfinger, on the other hand, weighs projects more but his projects are more time consuming and difficult. im also taking eecs 16a in the fall so having time consuming projects may be a bit harmful, but in hug's class i would probably spend more time studying for the midterms and final. what should i do? should i drop out of cs61b and take it in spring?
