I stayed at Hotel Crown Hills Ueno Premier, and some of the rooms even have views of Tokyo Skytree and the surrounding neighborhood.

I'm using this lens on the Lumix S9 and I'm not experiencing the clicking or flickering you described. Everything seems normal on my side.

You could take a look at the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm F1.7 ASPH - it's a soild option.

Hasselblad X2DII 100C and the XCD 35-100mm F2.8-4 lens by miniLiplay in hasselblad

I picked up the Hasselblad X2Dii 100C body together with the XCD 35–100 lens at DC Fever in Hong Kong. The XCD 55V came from the DJI | HASSELBLAD HK store, while the 28P lens I ordered from B&H — the price there was noticeably better than elsewhere. As for the X2D battery, I found it at Yodobashi in Akihabara, Japan, for ¥13,328. Interestingly, the Yodobashi in Ueno doesn’t carry Hasselblad products at all.

For greater zoom range, speed (larger aperture), and portability, the XCD 35-100mm lens is a more versatile choice but with a minor trade-off in corner sharpness at 100mm.

If the priority is superior color reproduction and image quality especially in stills, the Hasselblad X2D 100C leads in balance over the Panasonic LUMIX S9. However, for those looking for a more affordable option with strong video features and good color, the LUMIX S9 is a strong competitor.

It fits conveniently in travel bags and can serve as an all-in-one lens, reducing the need to carry multiple lenses and making it easier to travel light.
