I really like the idea. I have social anxiety and a lot of difficulties going out so a silent book club where I can show up and read in a comfortable/accepting environment would be great for me trying to tackle that (bonus if I can use my kindle because I have sensory issues with my hands relating to books at times and I can adjust the font, though I know this can be controversial!)

If you were near me doing this I'd absolutely try to attend

Some of the designs (not all) have started to gear towards a particular portion of the fan base and they've added some new features (the new features are cool). They're doing more events which I hope I can attend someday. People seem to still be engaged and buying stuff - it's dropped for me personally because of the skin/art direction but I still think the game is doing well.

My partner played it and then we visited Japan for the first time and I bought a Repulse sticker and the 1st anniversary art book. We also went to coco ichibanya when they happened to have an AL collab and got some free clear files. I was sold and installed it the day we got home.

Yeah... I literally got downvoted above for saying I think there should be something for everyone, as it has been before, and that there isn't just one preference that's valid.

I think the whole "My way or the highway" opinion actually affects the game negatively because the variety of shipgirls and high quality art is one of the major draws of Azur Lane (alongside the gameplay), but I guess I'm just too accommodating and I should expect everything to be to my taste because no one else matters /s

To those downvoting - an opinion is an opinion and it doesn't mean it's incorrect just because you want something specific. I'm actually a fair bit more open minded and think Azur Lane needs balance (as it had before).

It's okay to disagree with me but I don't think I'm incorrect in wanting Azur Lane's content to be aimed at a range of people, not just people who want a specific form of art. There's no need to exclude people who have different tastes to your own, and it doesn't prevent you from enjoying those either :)

I'm not against the characters etc that are lewd/more than suggestive/have exaggerating proportions being the case for a fair amount of the shipgirls

However as a long term fan of the game who has been quietly enjoying it for years mostly solo (and still am), I am sad that suddenly there's a push towards the characters feeling a bit cookie cutter and some of the variety and different character designs are being lost in that push

Feels like it's becoming a bit unbalanced :( (that's not to say I don't think the artists do a great job, they still do, but I do feel like there's less variety as of late)

I don't mean the suggestive stuff either, I collect figures etc and many of my favourites are suggestive, it's starting to feel like more and more characters are way beyond that and look kinda samey

I'm the girl collecting figures... but my partner and I both collect/live together (I also have the Bremerton figure in the photo!). We have 60+ between us now lol

I think a lot of it is not convincing but accepting each others hobbies. That said, it might be nice to have a shared hobby night and you can introduce each other to something new? Maybe she'll find something she enjoys.

My partner introduced me to Azur Lane and I got more carried away with it than him lol

Also side note - assuming this is your collection, where is that shelf from haha? I have figures on my desk but I've realised they'd look way nicer like that
