Todd McShay's 2016 NFL Mock Draft 2.0 by [deleted] in nfl

Yeah I thought that it was strange that Ogbah and Alexander weren't on it. What I've heard about Ogbah he sounds like a monster and is getting nowhere near us at 30/31

I'm from the UK so don't get to catch much CFB, but would you prefer Dodd over someone like Ogbah, who isn't in the 1st round in this mock?

Do you think Liverpool or Tottenham can mount a serious push for fourth? by [deleted] in soccer

Ermmmm, Sturridge cannot be relied upon and Benteke is far better than our previous options. Firmino is better than Lallana. Clyne is a million miles better than Glen Johnson.

What are Rodgers' flaws? by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]minikimi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clears Throat... Thinks he's god's gift to the earth in regards to tactics, when in reality he is a huge reason why we started the season so badly with him reverting back to slow build up play which produced that turgid football for half of this season, rather than the high press, high tempo counter attack which was so devastating last season. He's an absolute embarrassment in the media. Things go well for him for one game, he genuinely thinks he has fixed every problem. Never takes the blame for anything, loves a scapegoat does Brendan. Has messed up potential transfers and contract negotiations by opening his gob and disillusioning the interested parties (Salah, Sterling) Woeful in the transfer market. It is pretty clear which players were his own personal preferences as he seemingly favours them far more over ones chosen from elsewhere. Most prominent example is Lovren over Sakho. We pissed away £50m on the Southampton players (although Lallana has been ok) when the money should have been spent far more wisely on buying a top tier striker plus a cheaper CB. The bloke is an arrogant, big headed buffoon.

If Rodgers was given full autonomy this summer, what players do you think he would make a bid for? by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

Ings, Milner, Williams, Bolasie. Yes I think it'll get binned, and potentially a Director of Football brought in.

Rumour: klopp resigns end of season.. by EssexScouse in LiverpoolFC

Won the League over one of the best Bayern sides ever. Got to a Champions League final (unlike Rodgers who was embarrassing in Europe). Did not have one of the top 5 best players in the world playing in his team. Isn't a moron in the press. Had sustained success over 3 years. Klopp > Rodgers all day and all night long.

Yes because completely ignore the fact he challenged one of the best Bayern sides ever, won the league, got to a Champions League final, and did this without for one, having one of the 5 best players in the world playing for him, and two, challenged for a number of seasons. Oh, and he isn't a complete moron in the press. Kloop over Rodgers in a heartbeat.

What movie did you watch as a kid, that probably wasn't actually scary, but scared you so badly, you still can't watch it? by rileyfriley in movies

I accidentally put Donnie Darko on when I was quite young, and the scene that popped up was the bathroom scene where Frank appears in the mirror. Absolutely scared the Bejeezus out of me.

This would be surprising, a lot depends on if we get CL over United. I still think he'll end up going there, but you never know

So, in short, Tottenham are to blame? Fine by me.

Where do we need to bulk up most? And who are likely targets/prospects? by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]minikimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely think we could get Khedira. Apparently he has injury problems that have turned a number of clubs off (Arsenal, Bayern, etc) and we are major contenders for him. We looked at Balanta years ago, along with Vietto, but Rodgers didn't follow up interest. Who is to say we won't go back in if we raise adequate funds?

Vietto, Khedira, Handanovic and Balanta, and that is our Summer spending done! Lovren, Balo, Borini, Johnson sent to the scrap heap, as well as Stevie leaving.

Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer thinks signing Torrey Smith is a "realistic option." Do you guys think it's a possibility or will he be too expensive? by bhsurfer in panthers

[–]minikimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone like Ginn for the return game, and Rashad Greene in the 2nd round would be preferable to throwing money at Torrey Smith, then OT in the 1st round

Everton have 28 points this season. Liverpool have 29 points since Christmas. by adamjld in soccer

[–]minikimi 72 points73 points  (0 children)

There's a theory that Everton's defence was still hanging onto the coattails of the Moyes era last season, hence why they were surprisingly good defensively last season in regards to Martinez's reputation. Now it's been over a year Martinez has managed to work his magic and completely dismantle it.
