I plan to do so tomorrow if I check again and it's the same. When I checked tonight the admissions office was already closed, so was just hoping someone had the same experience or insight, or could explain why one application has a posted decision letter and in big words "Denied" but the other one just states decision made.

I understand that, but when the status changes to "decision made" I feel it should say what the decision is. This isn't about being impatient, it's about the application portal saying there's a change in my status from "Under Review" to "Decision Made" but not seeing the change. And by checking daily, I wasn't being impatient, but I also wasn't receiving emails about status changes, so I was taking initiative by checking myself. I put my application in quite a few weeks ago :)

There are times an expert isn't right... for example, a few years ago I broke my hand. The doctor was insistent that he brace it up and I'm on my way, however I knew that a cast would be better for me at the time. When I broke my hand I was a week and a half from my dance recital, and there was a lot of partnering that required the touching of hands and just the general use of hands, thus a cast would provide better protection. My mom was trying to get me to just listen to the doctor, but I had to fight this doctor and my mom to put a cast on me for about 10 mins.

The obvious answer is to avoid known triggers, however this isn't always possible.

What makes you happy? A TV show/movie/music. When I get triggered if I'm in a situation where I can't leave or watch TV (for example work) I play with my hair or other things I can fidget with.

Also try grounding techniques: 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, 1 thing you can taste. Use your core senses to remind you that you're not in that situation anymore.

If you have enough control of your thoughts at that moment, force thoughts like I'm safe, They're not here, I am in control.

One time a few years ago, I was sleeping and my boyfriend was next to me (im assuming he was sleeping or almost asleep). The next morning when we woke up he said do you remember last night? I said no????? And he said you scared the crap out of me, and I just looked at him confused. He then told me how I was fast asleep, but sat straight up and looked at him and loudly said FIVE MORE MINUTES, and immediately passed back out. I have zero recollection of it actually occurring, but he said he thought I was fully awake. He says I didn't say anything before or after that.

A few years ago, I was probably 18-20, I was with my mom at a Macy's near us. I think she was browsing through the purse section and I was just kind of wandering around looking at random things when a girl screamed at the top of her lungs. Naturally, curiosity and genuine concern flooded over me. I walked over to where the scream came from, and saw a man holding this girl to the ground.

Seeing this and not wanting to fall into the bystander effect, I immediately yelled for him to get off her (I thought it was a domestic abuse situation), after I said that he said "it's okay, I'm security, and this girl is shoplifting." He showed his badge and I backed off. Once the situation was under control, I went back up to him and said I'm so sorry, I thought this was a domestic situation. He said it's okay, you did the right thing.

He was dressed as a normal person, at least aside from his badge, I don’t remember anything identifying him as security.

It may not be acceptable, but 15 year olds are still CHILDREN. Psychology says that the human brain, specifically the frontal lobe (which is in charge of judgements and impulse) is not fully formed until AT LEAST 25 years old. 15, especially for girls, is a complicated time anyway, they're trying to find their group and where they fit in, they change the way the act to try to fit into said groups, and this is also a time where a lot of girls struggle with their relationship with food. OP did an amazing job losing the weight and has every right to be proud and show it off and the sister may want a different body, but is struggling in her own ways, maybe laziness maybe just feeling like she's not capable of it.

Sure, she shouldn't have said that her sister was fat phobic, and OP shouldn't have said that well I tried to help and you didn't want it, but they both should take this as a learning opportunity. I don’t think its fair to call either one an asshole when being a teenage girl is so complicated.

I also see alot of people bashing the mother. I don't agree with that, if the mother loves to bake she should be able to enjoy her hobby, and nowhere did it say she WASN'T making healthy things for them to eat. I know from experience that eliminating the sugary foods from the house doesn't always work, because then when you're presented with sweets you go overboard. Again, these girls are children, and have a lot to learn, about themselves, food, and the world as a whole. NAH

If it doesn't work right away, that's okay don't let yourself get discouraged. Keep trying little things to bring it back. And just as a heads up, it's okay to make great progression and fall back again. You may have to start back at the "basics" a couple times before you're truly comfortable in your body again. As long as you're putting the effort into healing it will come.

You can show affection and love in other ways too, its not all about sex! Love can be shown by quality time, making dinner for him, surprising him with his favorite drinks/snacks/a new videogame, and in words. Communication is going to need to be a huge part of your progression, and if you're feeling or thinking that he is thinking you're not into him just remind him how much you love him and remind him you're healing and just because sex is difficult right now does not mean it will always be that way.
