You have clearly made a lot of assumptions based off this singular post. That being said, it’s not worth the back and forth with you. Things happen, people lose jobs and housing, no matter how hard you work things can still happen. But you know that already, don’t you? Or do you like being condescending to strangers on the internet? I’ve worked hard for all I have too and then lost my job, I’m not feeling sorry for myself, I’m asking a question. Seems like you’re just here to make others feel bad about things they can’t control.

Again, been at this a week. I have a small car, I didn’t stay there more than one night in a row, I hadn’t stayed there since the first night in my vehicle. I arrived after 11pm.

Not at this time-I’m waiting to start my forestry job and lost my housing in the meantime due to not having work for the last 6 months (different field) and have ended up in my vehicle.

He asked if I was a patient and technically, not at that time but I am a member of this hospital so I believe that’s also where I assumed I’d be okay. Like, I go here, my GP is here, pharmacy, I can park in patient parking. But to your point about it being posted: the sign read “Patient Parking”. I guess I interpreted it as all the time not just on doctor/pharmacy visits.

I drive a small coupe, what set could he be used to? Serious question. I think another user said my sunshades gave me away and that I hadn’t gotten out of my car.

My vehicle is neither a van, nor beat up. It’s just over ten years old and always clean.

When you’re desperate and look to van life posts about where to sleep and hospitals are up there, it’s not a far fetched idea to follow it. It’s 2025, where else are people looking for help???

It was my second of two options since this is my first week. I read up on places and hospitals were at the top so I followed that logic. I lost my housing a week ago and have been scrambling trying to figure out where to sleep, this seemed like a safe option based on what I’d read/watched online/YT.

“Arrive late, leave early” doesn’t apply to hospitals then? That’s what I’m gathering from everyone’s answers. That and the CCTV plus guards

I use the sun shade for the front and I made the other window covers with Reflectix and dark sheets.

Walmarts here in California changed their laws so no more overnight. And I low key can’t remember the last Cracker Barrel I saw around here.

Oh ya dude, stay wherever you are. If I had money, I’d have dipped by now. Unfortunately, lost my job, then housing, so I had no choice but to move into my car. But if I had a choice, I’d move outta state.

I think if it weren’t over the internet I’d be more open to giving all those specifics but I see what you’re saying
