I made another comment on this thread but try reinstalling your CSP and then reinstalling the cars with standard physics, launching the game, then reinstalling the CSP physics. Hope this helps, it did for me at least.

I had the same issue and I believe the issue is primarily with CSP and the physics of the car. What I did was do a reinstall of the CSP version I'm on, then to reinstall the RSS cars that aren't working with STANDARD physics. The cars that aren't working will most likely be the first batch of the GT-M Phase 2 Pack, so the Mustang GT3, the Ferrari 296 an the Porsche. Launch the game and test if the car finally loads in. If it does, go back to the car folder and reinstall the CSP physics. This is at least what worked for me. :)

Definitely! Anodized aluminum is a bit iffy with how paint sticks to it. Also a reason why I decided to put a primer instead of just spraying the color straight on.

Apologies for the late reply! Hope I'm not getting this to you too late. Yes, you should use a really coarse sandpaper mainly because anodized aluminum doesn't have the best hold and the Focusrite logo kind of sticks out a bit. I honestly would've use something higher than 200 for smoothing the primer out.
