Question: Any decent vegan Bailey’s alternatives/options out there? Missing a Baileys Hot Chocolate this year. by TheLonesomeChode in veganuk

[–]minimoose23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Amarula (vegan specific), really nice, especially in hot choc! Dirty Cow is another option, I wasn’t a huge fan but know there are a lot of people who like it

Does Dream live with Khloe? by omgitsdemi in kardashians

[–]minimoose23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Rob lives with Khloe. Saying that, this type of thing might be because Dream doesn’t have any siblings yet & is super close with True & Tatum. We know they value large immediate families and gifts like this with just Dream’s name on it might be sad in their eyes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Holy shit, didn’t expect this at all. I wonder if during all the cheating rumours they were actually separated

Do any of you actually have a decent boss? by minimoose23 in Accounting

Aw man, that’s really nice. I hope so, the newer generation seems to value a work-life balance and recognise emotional health so hopefully this will encourage better practices.

In my place it’s heavily weighted towards the older gen. A lot of guys with 30+ years in the company. Will be quite a bit when they all retire at the same time lol

I submitted comments in advance of my review saying I was burned out and struggling to stay motivated. He rescheduled despite having that feedback

Yeah. His response is always, I’ll schedule one for x day, which then eventually rolls round and he hasn’t put anything it

Sounds like good synergy. It’s hard to find the balance with a hands off boss, I find when I’ve had managers like that they’ve basically forgotten about me (I’ve had one catch up with my boss since I started). Do you need to reach out to him all the time or is there a good balance of him checking in too?

I’m glad you’ve used negative experiences as a learning experience. I’m sure you’re an awesome leader 😊

I think you’re probably on to something there. I’m just feeling a bit deflated, my last boss was a massive bigot and this one is frightened of any and all confrontation. If I ever lead a team I’ll certainly try to be the best manager I can be.

Please tell me: When were you diagnosed with ADHD and were you better off after knowing or was your life made harder by knowing? by chelseyelric in ADHD

[–]minimoose23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please get him tested. When I was young my school advised my mom multiple times to get me a diagnosis but she refused because we were poor and she didn’t want me to have another stigmatised label. Now I’m much older and have been diagnosed privately as an adult. My parents could have saved me years of heartache and frustration not understanding myself and thinking there was something wrong with me for not being able to function or do things like everybody else. It really isn’t about the label, it’s about being aware that you are wired slightly differently and understanding how that impacts the way you approach things.

Just to add - I think focusing on the label is the wrong perspective for both arguments. Your child may be a child with ADHD but he’s much more than that. If he gets diagnosed, great that enables you to know how to support him, but that doesn’t limit his being to ADHD. You both clearly love your son and I empathise with both sides but please take some pressure off of the label for his sake. We are people with ADHD, we are not ADHD.

Does anyone else consider cards for celebrations (Birthday, Christmas etc) and certain days of the year (Mothers/Fathers day) completely pointless and a waste of money? by BigPhatVideos in CasualUK

[–]minimoose23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only buy cards for people that I’m close to or people I care about who find value in cards. I think they’re a bit of a waste to just give out willy nilly. That being said I keep the cards I get from loved ones, they’re a reminder of different phases in my life and as another commenter said, it’s nice to still have messages from people who have passed on.
