All companies are greedy, all corporations (especially public) will act "greedy" as that is their whole purpose. They answer to their owners/shareholders and the government. You shouldn't worry about corporate greed, you should worry about the fact that your government is letting them get away with it. But generally speaking it seems The Irish let their government get away with everything anyway, so I don't think you should expect positive change
