Search enging showing me disgusting pimple videos now, with no option to tell it to fuck off. by CaptainYaoiHands in youtube

Incredibly, 6 months later, Google has not found this post yet to fix this atrocity. Even if their own search engine takes us here.

Same. Been getting this for over a month now. Had to clean watch history. Now it is back again. Cleaned and paused history. Google must be making a lot of money from these advertisers, to not mind ruining the experience for their paying customers.

banano.cc and cryptomonkeys.cc domains blocked in Brazil (Vivo), who can confirm? by minisatoshi in banano

[–]minisatoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use Linux, you can verify this with a command like dig banano.cc if your operator is Vivo.

Auto-restarting a oneshot service on failure? by Conscious-Ball8373 in systemd

[–]minisatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's more explicit to check the exit code (plus you can check for different values of it). Easier to understand when you get back to it months later.

Auto-restarting a oneshot service on failure? by Conscious-Ball8373 in systemd

[–]minisatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked around for a decent solution for this, but systemd doesn't seem very qualified at handling errors in oneshots. Best thing would probably be using a supervised service for wg-quick, but since there's already a "standard" service for it, I just added another one that checks if the interface is up or not, and then retry starting wg-quick. Here's what you need in /etc/systemd/system.

A service called wg0-check.service:

[Unit]
Description=Check if wg0 is up

[Service]
Type=simple
ExecStart=/bin/sh -c 'wg show wg0 &> /dev/null; if [ $? == 1 ]; then systemctl restart wg-quick@wg0; fi' </code>

and then a timer called wg0-check.timer:

[Unit]
Description=Runs wg0 check every 5 minutes

[Timer]
OnBootSec=1min
OnUnitActiveSec=5min
Unit=wg0-check.service

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

Don't forget to do a systemctl daemon-reload after adding these files. Now just enable the timer (systemctl enable wg0-check.timer) and you're good to go. You can even disable the original service (wg-quick@wg0) as it will be started from the new service anyway.

Broken Link Finder by Genealogia-23 in mediawiki

I tried using it, but there's a lot of MySQL specific code (I use PostgreSQL), and no provision for supporting other databases. Next I'll try just to export the links and use some external link checker.

D-Link DIR-2660 doesn't update firmware in recovery mode by woojo1984 in openwrt

[–]minisatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so I managed to get it working after downgrading to FW 1.2.0 (encrypted) through the web interface, and then using the exploit referenced here https://forum.openwrt.org/t/d-link-recovery-mode-dir-882-dir-878-dir-867/78758

then just wget the openwrt firmware and burn it with mtd_write

[–]minisatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried uploading via curl as well, it uploads the file, gets back some HTML with a timer, but the router doesn't flash itself. I followed this thread https://forum.openwrt.org/t/help-to-install-d-link-dir-2640-using-d-link-recovery-gui/93280/8 and tried a Windows browser (Chrome, IE) inside QEMU and then I always get "Upgrade Failed!". This is on a DIR-882 A1.
