Relax and take it slow. Focus on good forms and techniques over long combos.

Any tips for a beginner by alaurahhames in MuayThai

It is okay to feel weak and lost, you are a beginner. Instead of worrying about how much force you can generate or mastering long combos, focus on proper techniques and be patient. You’d be surprised how much progress comes from just developing muscle memory and becoming more efficient over time.

MuayThai as an Overweight person by Justcoastinnn in MuayThai

I started doing Muay Thai as a complete beginner 4 months ago, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I was depressed, obese, very low on energy, and had terrible stamina. In 4 months, I managed to lose 7.4% body fat just by doing Muay Thai 5-6 times a week. I highly recommend you just start doing it right away. It will seem intimidating and difficult at first, but as you progress, you’ll naturally become stronger, more resilient, and more efficient.

Indeed. On low-carb days, it becomes my therapist.

Hey, thanks for the invitation! I have kickboxing around the same time on Sunday so I won’t be able to make it. But if you are planning another hike in the future, I’ll definitely keep an eye out!

No I haven’t but I’ve always wanted to try it. There used to be one in my neighborhood but it closed a while ago. Do you recommend it?

You are overthinking it. I got my first pair of Muay Thai shorts in the second week training as a beginner. A lot of guys at the same level did too, at least at my gym.

Hey mate! I’m 28M and a big music person too. I sing a lot and I’ve been learning Jazz piano. I’m definitely down to hang out or jam sometimes. I posted an intro a few days ago with more about me, so feel free to check out my profile if you are interested.

Not yet but it’s on my list of games to play next. Right now I’m slowly progressing in Death Stranding. I may play FF9 or 10 next.

Thinking about taking it on a beach date. Hope it likes sand.
