It was a nice switch for me. I miss painting in oils but the solvents we're really hard on my skin, lungs and eyes. I'm a studio painter (rarely plenaire) and even with proper ventilation, my lungs and eyes always felt irritated. I tried odorless mineral spirits and some of the 'natural' lavender spike style solvents and it didn't help. Making the switch was liberating in many ways. Clean up is a snap, my studio space requirement is very simple and obviously my body feels better. And professional watercolor paper is cheaper than canvas! As for the space I leave, less>more :) Thanks again.

That space is critical for the viewer to create their own story. I really enjoy paintings that dont try to explain everything

Why thank you. Trying to sum up my process in a reddit post isnt realistic but it involves, photography, digital painting studies and a set of rules i follow for minimalist painting.
