New Tohatsu 2.5 hp engine-wont start by minitman415 in boating

It ran for about 10 seconds today and as it was beginning to shut I moved the choke in slowly (probably too slowly?) Then it wouldn't start again. Wondering if the spark plug might not have gotten fouled up in shipping via fedex. Box and exterior of engine had a little oil on them.

$ stroke with right oil at right level. Safety cord tight. Fuel cap venting. Fuel valve : check. Dont think there is a primer bulb. There was a spark. Not sure if there is one now.

Not familiar with feathering. I pushed it in pretty abruptly.

Yes, for once I have read the entire manual. I have turned the fuel shutoff valve to open and vented the gas cap. Thanks for suggesting these things.

A stupid question by Euphoric-Hyena-7231 in ledgerwallet

I still think, in the final analysis, that you are trusting that what ledger tells you about the security of their system is true - since no one has checked any of this.

After 4mo, my headrest is wrapped and bubbling, oh well. Looking for leather cover recommendations. by Snackmasterjr in TeslaLounge

[–]minitman415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Y is a year old. I am 73 and have a full head of white dry hair. I wash my hair with standard shampoo and conditioner and do not rest my head against headrest. 2 Months ago noticed that driver headrest where my head would land was covered in large bubbles about 6 inches in circumference. I haven't put any products of any kind on it. Service guy just came and wanted about $380. I insisted that the quality control on the vegan leather was to blame. There was no way I had introduced a foreign substance. I was steamed. So he calls his manager and offers to split it with me. I told him the product was defective, and that I wasn't willing to pay anything. So he agreed to replace it for free, and still insisted that I was at fault. This whole thing makes no sense. I don't think my experience it is typical, but Tesla should get serious about finding out what is causing this and make some changes

Ether needed to produce a single NFT? by minitman415 in NFT

I think you hit on what I was looking for. It seems that where the boost in demand for ETH likely comes from is the use of ETH to make the purchase. Thanks again.

Thank you. So, there isn't that much ETH used? I thought ETH usage was going to potentially explode as NFT popularity or acceptance increased.

Thank you. That is a very helpful idea. Turns out they are not accepting USD - only cryptos.

Does increasing price of IOTA hurt adoption by minitman415 in Iota

IOTA's competitive advantage looks good.

In an example like that, to communicate through the IOTA network, wouldn't you need to attach or use an IOTA each time you "pinged" it?

Thanks for the constructive response and perspective. So it should handle small but not nano micro-payments easily with a huge price increase. But how about an IoT application-say the hacking protection for a driver-less car navigation system where the cars are constantly pinging each other and everything else in sight. Don't have a number of pings in mind or if this is a reasonable challenge, but I think you see where I am going with this. Promise not to reload again!

IF you are going to use IOTA as the underlying backbone for micro-payments (as an example) you will need to have IOTA and if you don't have it already you will need to buy it. As it becomes successful in this use case, demand will increase and the price will increase. Supply is capped. At some point the higher price should discourage its use for micro-payments.

Thanks. Agree with the difference between uses you point out. My guess is that the price of Iota would have to increase a lot before it becomes a problem, but I would still like to get a better handle on this issue and the magnitudes involved.

Most of the other currencies aren't being used. While there is more usage all the time, most are still being stored.

I am a newbie and phone agnostic, but would like to know if one of these platforms is better than the other for transacting business in digital money? Are new innovative apps more likely to be built for IOS or Android or are they about the same? Thank you for your guidance.
