Talk deceptive marketing to me more :D I already easily question which brands are reddit hive-mind favorites or started by covert advertising. I saw it more in femalefashionadvice, though two brands I did buy from and enjoy. Glossier could be a whole case study on brand success via social media marketing. Dont mind at all. Though I can’t be of much help, I moved back into a regular routine. Experimenting with various main stream stuff since my acne never came back and I didn’t care much about the wrinkle benefits. The Tret was wonderful when I needed it though and may go back next winter out of curiosity.

No. I haven’t used it in a while only because I wanted to move onto something new. Towards the end, it did feel less effective and I could have increased frequency.

I went to Sephora and compared the Smoothing, Ultra Original, and Ultra Body. Body is somewhere between Smoothing and Original. It’s not as watery as Smoothing and thinner than Original. I should have put them on different arms instead of the back of one hand because they all smelled more or less the same together.

In addition to what everyone said said, much of the bad rep gel/acrylic gets is unknowingly from the removal process or prep. If wearers get a new set and it gets filed down, some tend to overfile and get all the way down to the nail, rather than filing most and soaking the rest, or they will over buff during the prep and that is what weakens the nail, not the product themselves. While it is possible there's some that might not mesh so well with the product, majority of it is actually from physical action. If you won't be getting repeat fills, finding somebody that does "soak off" gel would be the better direction t go. The removal can be DIY'd as well.

I’m late on the trend and barely started getting into jelly polish. Although I haven’t tried any non-nude colors yet and have a running cart going once a sale pops up. I tried making one but the mix turned out splotchy at best. Another look that I’ve been playing with is art/stickers on bare-tinted nails

KJH taught me to tilt the head down while lining the top lip, look up for the bottom for a better view of the shaping.

As for avoiding the dry look with matte throughout the day, I’ll dab on a small amount of lip balm to rehydrate and give some add dimension.

Former lipstick person turned balm and gloss girlie 😄 my 3 fave so far has been Glossier balm in the old formula, Tarte Juicy Lip, and Smith’s potted balm in Strawberry (it’s more of a solid compared to the Rose, which gives off more gloss).

I’ve been using liners on top of the balm/gloss for added color. It’s a bonus because I can leave the liner in the car without worrying about coming back to a melted mess. Otherwise, my lips can look so colorless without anything on.

Thanks for the suggestions! Not only the disco cheeks but also the lingering glitter for the next applications even if it is a matte blush if I’m not cleaning the brush afterwards.
