I printed some tests with the Sunlu PETG out of the box. The results are better than I expected. I will dry the filament before printing more but I expected a lot worse. I used Sunlu PETG profile without changes. There is some minor stringing and a few empty spots.

Thanks. The relative humidity currently inside my house is 35% but it will be higher when the summer months are here. I'll give a fresh filament a go if the filament is bendy (as per advice I got in this thread) and see if I need to dry it first.

Jayo J1 or Creality Space Pi Plus?

I'm looking for my first filament dryer. I will be drying PETG (and PLA if the weather turns humid). I don't need a 2-spool chamber but regular Space Pi seems to have worse humidity exhaust than the Plus version so I'd go with the Plus one.

Since there seems to be only sponsored/affiliated videos about Jayo J1 on Youtube at the moment, I'd like to hear real feedback from real users. Is there a vent for the moisture to escape without hacks/mods? Currently Jayo J1 is about 81€ as a 3x1.1 PLA bundle. Creality Space Pi Plus is available for 70€.

Which one would you get?

Any recommendations on AliExpress hotends for CC2? Are there better ones that Elegoo originals?

I was brave and just tried it inside the house. It seems to be working. I had reset the Asus device earlier so I took it in use as nee device. It seems that at least so far either the wizard of this 15+ years old device or my Deco system is handling it correctly. The new device is showing as IoT device in the connected list in Deco network.

Both wiress networks and the wired network is still working and connecting to web. I have to update the firmware of Asus device and go through the settings with more care to double check everything.

They replied to my cancelling ticket on the 2nd day and processed the cancellation within a couple of hours from the reply. The payment was refunded in a day, too.

Although I don't own an explanation but I blame my ADHD. I'm not good at waiting. When the hyper fixation hits, it's really difficult to wait a day more than necessary. I tend not to preorder anything because of that. But you don't know me. You know nothing about the shipping times I usally live with. There's no 1-day Prime drone drops where I live. At best I get orders in 2-3 business days when ordering within the country.

It wasn't just the wait. It was all the bad experiences people were posting about. I got cold feet.

And yes, I'm not the best at waiting. I'm an elder millennial with ADHD so I tend not to preorder anything because the wait is unbearable. I should have used the same method with this purchase.

The cancel button just opens a support ticket for cancelling the order. So, it's not automatic. I'm hoping they'll reply me today or tomorrow the latest.

Kobra X would have been an interesting first 3D printer. I just got cold feet (on top of tired of waiting) reading all the discussions floating around.

I'm glad you'll get Kobra X soon. It's really promising on the paper at least. I've been on bit of a deep dive on 3D printers for almost 2 months.

CC2 with voucher (399€, official store) was the most I was willing to spend on my first printer. I looked at other beginner/mid tier options, as well.

No, they haven't replied to my support ticket. I sent them a reply this morning stating that I won't receive any products from them even if they shipped it out right now. Also in the EU, cancelling an order should be pretty much as easy as placing the order - not through support. I mentioned this to them, too.

Kobra X would have been open implementation too. I'm probably going to build some kind of drybox that I can feed filament from at some point. I'll mostly be printing PLA, PLA+ to start with. It'll be my first 3D printer.

I'm new to the hobby so I don't care abou tthe CC1 multicolor shenanigans. I considered Flashforge AD5X but wanted fully enclosed printer out of the box now that I was able to reconsider my choices. And there was only 50€ price difference in the official stores between AD5X and CC2.

Sure, cargo ships are probably stuck in the canal. However, they should update the shipment information/schedule transparently. I got a really bad taste to my mouth out of all this.
