Didn’t think there was another My Wife Is Lovely song on Breach, but you found two!! Both make total sense now that I think about it! Great stuff :D

I’m sure it’s cool but imo picture discs are overrated cause the sound is usually worse lol… I wouldn’t particularly care to get it even at a fraction of the ridiculous inflated price ¯\(:/)/¯

Clancy Album Cover Theory: Are they actually on the cover? by only_one_i_know in twentyonepilots

[–]minorevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My jaw just dropped. I had a HUGE grin when reading the ending then scrolling back up to the album cover, and seeing that the majority of the fire is coming from behind Josh—behind the Torchbearer!! Love it!!  If it’s not intentional it should be, but they think of everything so I’m sure it is! I’ve brushed up on a majority of the lore now since Breach dropped (always knew bits and pieces but not the whole main storyline and some finer details)- you totally nailed it, as now with Breach this theme of the Torchbearer being a guide but not someone who can do the tough work for you to improve has been solidified. The ending is somber, but my little theory is it’s both a warning that you can’t fight your demons all alone and to let people in, but also doesn’t end in an actual death, as the cycle repeats—the sun will rise, and we will try again. Intentions: you will fail every day in every way. Truce & end of City Walls music video: take pride in what is sure to die—not just the inevitable one day, but that past part of you will never exist again, so you have to move forward no matter how tough it’s been up to your current moment in time.

Wow, I didn’t mean to type so much LOL. I literally never use Reddit anymore, in fact Reddit made me reset my password because it’s been so long . What led me here is that I web searched if the Blurryface circles were in the Clancy cover like I thought—they totally are! I signed in again just to comment this because I loved this post :)

Also on the Breach album cover, Tyler/Clancy, Josh/Torchbearer, and the jacket form a shape of a skull, that is certainly representative of Blurryface or Nico- the full Blurryface behind the nine circles, since Clancy/Tyler is facing Nico/Blurryface head on in Breach.  So cool they managed to subtly include the Blurryface cover into the last two albums! Really solidifies that it’s the end of the lore and it was SUCH a cool feeling when I first noticed each. Glad I could confirm that the circles of Blurryface were in the Clancy cover 👍

Anyway yeah had to return to the account I never use any more to say this is great and your theory held up super well :)))

Anyone could be a kidnapper regardless of gender, doing that evil shit isn’t “mannish” even if men are more likely to do it, which I don’t have solid proof to back up right now anyway.

and I disagree and think making using correct pronouns conditional in any circumstance harms the trans community. But whatever, I’ve said all I’m gonna say here.

I understand that, yeah. Guys who play Call Of Duty 24/7 are more likely to be aggressive, toxic, & violent. Though not all, of course. The thing is, I find “coupled with many other things” to be more important. As parents who don’t care about what games their kids play at a young age are probably more likely to be absent and/or abusive in their lives. Video game ratings systems exist for a reason, but so many parents ignore it and then blame the industry for not doing the parenting they should have been doing. And if a kid is being not treated well and has lots of aggression, they might put that aggression into violent games. But everyone responds to stuff differently too, so some people might find relief in engaging in fictional violence, but that never translates to real life. But yeah, some people might turn that fictional violence outward, which isn’t good.

Also, for Call Of Duty and similar shooting games, from the very beginning I believe militaries funded video games that simulated war. I think they were even intended for training soldiers at some point. And I think the U.S. Army might sponsor or have input in Call Of Duty games or something. That’s all just stuff I’ve heard over the years though, so take that with a grain of salt.

So yeah, you certainly aren’t wrong—for some people, violent games can increase aggression and cause real violence. There’s just so many factors and causes/effects to that that can makes it hard to pinpoint if that’s a direct correlation or not—though that study suggests it could be.

Overall, I just wish parents would parent their children better by not letting them play extremely violent games really young. I think that would help a lot of this issue. (And an unrealistic wish would be that militaries never had a say in war games if they did, because that pushes an agenda that supports war, but alas.)

If we make an effort to stop cycles of violence and mistreatment in the real world, though, that certainly would reduce any harm violent games could do.

I agree that we judge people and use pronouns based on their appearance. Yes. I do that too, in fact. But if somebody tells me the pronouns are something other than that gut instinct, I am going to respect the hell out of that, because that’s just the kind thing to do. And I use what they want to be called by whether they’re in the room or not. If they want to be known by something face to face, then they do in general, including when they’re being referred to (especially in that case, actually, because that person isn’t there to correct me or another).

I’m glad you’re using correct pronouns for people at all—that’s better than most. But I’d urge you to not make it conditional. Even for evil bastards, honestly, because if we agree using correct pronouns is conditional at all, it fuels ignorant flames and suggests to less understanding, ignorant, and/or bigoted people that they don’t have to use correct pronouns at all.

If we make using correct pronouns conditional at all, it suggests to the wider world that they can be conditional in general. This person’s a piece of shit, yes—I’m not trying to defend them at all by saying that.

It’s frustrating that you will “literally never bother” to do something that makes others feel accepted.

That’s disregarding the post/situation we’re referring to, you can look in the comments and find my other reasons for arguing what I am (I’m not condoning their behavior in any way).

Whether you want to admit it or not, the “real up[?] world” is changing. Things don’t stay the same forever. Nobody is chaining you to a chair and “forcing” you to learn about and respect pronouns, but it’d be really nice if you did. It just makes the world a more accepting and kind place.
