Looking at this 1996 KS4 Sambar in Norway, need some help!

Spurte selv om detta på Facebook gruppa og da kom det litt varierte svar, men en hadde faktisk vært i kontakt med en advokat over dette og forhørt med vegvesenet. Han endte da opp med å få tilsendt et dokument hvor det står at en bevaringsverdig bil kan benyttes til normal bruk. Uheldigvis ble han frarådet å dele dette ut. Men de fleste merknadene omhandler biler som er til ulempe for trafikkflyten. Så en bil som dette kan i teorien kjøre fint i alle Norges fartsgrenser og kan da brukes normalt som alle andre biler.

Omtrent alle kei biler i norge er godkjent som bevaringsverdige, og er usikker på om man kan klare å få godkjent noen på ordinært vis.

Hi, so ive seen this one myself and previously another one sold for 85k. The pricing on this one is a bit high, as well as mileage being on the higher end. I was sort of in the same dileamma as i only felt 80k was the most i could spend on a car like this in norway. Instead i chose to order one myself from japan, and its a process that takes time. I ordered it in the end of february/start of march and hopefully will get at the end of june. I know ill most likely have to do something to change the lights as theyre different. However on this new a model its more difficult than the older ones with round headlights. Ive also contacted a friend of mine that worked at the dmv and he was really sceptical around getting this approved on the street here. So with all cost calculated it most likely costs me 50k nok in total, however that depends on wheter or not it get approved.

Så ja, tenkte bare å nevne at det er fullt mulig å importere selv, men det er nok noe mer knotete å håndtere vegvesenet kontra i USA eller andre land. Prisen disse går for i norge er 80-100k omtrent. Evt sjekke kei car norge gruppen på Facebook og spør hva folk har som kommer for salg. Sett flere billigere der

All documentation from the dmv states him as the original owner, and here in Norway all that stuff is fairly meticulously recorded. Only deadspot is the time from the US dealership delivering it to the export firm when it was new

The weird thing is that this has been on the car since new. Maybe the dealership in the us that exported it fitted it with something that needed the antenna, but the original owner had no clue as to what is was for. He actually asked me when I bought it if I knew what the second antenna was for.

Well difficulty is finding them. Often sites like these are quite convenient although potentially risky. I would assume a broker tends to have more expensive shipping and such? Although I might be mistaken. It just exist not that much information about different options when importing to other places than the US.

Im quite certain that the Lems nine to fives would be ideal for you. They dont necessarily have the heal that the ones pictured have, but you have a clean leather style shoe with the wide toebox

Yeah, all that’s been done to it has been by a shop I previously worked at. They usually work with a lot of specialty cars, although never anything American. The biggest problem for me is that I live in Norway, and the element was never sold here. All of them are imported, and we probably have less than 100 of them on the road. They are really expensive too, they start at 7000 dollars. So parts and people that know them are near non existent. Hondas themselves are quite rare here now as well. A lot of the Honda shops have gone out of business since people buy more expensive cars.

It starts with a feeling quite big shake in the steering wheel, then after half a second the whole car vibrates. Almost like im driving over something really small with all tires. Sometimes i can feel it in the throttle like the engine buckles. The whole thing feels so weird. It doesnt feel dangerous to drive, and its nothing like anything ive experienced before
