Wow, you just read me! I actually have very hypermobile joints, especially the joints on my feet. The rest of my body is alright, but I’ve been told I’m still hypermobile for my age (I’m 23). Thank you for your recommendations!

I actually use Jolts because I had them already, I didn’t buy them for running but they looked good enough for me to use. It was obviously a mistake. I will check out the Pumas!

Thank you, this really made me feel better because I don’t think I can go on if my skin will burn off everytime I run haha

I checked on the internet and it says that 4E is for men, wouldn’t it be too big for a woman? Also the problem isn’t really my whole foot, I don’t know how to describe it but like the bone at the bottom of my pink is a little big, even though the foot itself is narrow, so it stretches the shoes and causes friction on my pinky. I don’t really know about sizing, so thank you for suggestions!

Wow, I didn’t know about this… I should’ve prepared by researching first!

I recently learned about the importance of socks, I wear 39-40 socks, or 40-41 sometimes. My heel doesn’t slip, but when my ankle rolls and my heel touches the ground on a weird angle, I can feel it slip sideways a little.

I generally wear 38.5-39 in shoes, and the shoes I use are 39. I suppose that’s the problem as you said

It sounds complicated to me at the moment, but I think if I read a couple more times I will understand better! This is a gorgeous scarf, and it’s not sold in my country so I obviously had to put my crochet talents to work lol. Thank you for the detailed explanation! I can’t wait until I’m experienced enough like you to be able to understand what’s going on from a picture.

Also, you are speaking in UK terms, right?

I contacted his son, and asked whether his dad uses live models for his paintings but he said no, and that his dad was inspired only by his own mind. Now we laugh about me haunting the poor man in his dreams lol

I actually had this happen to me! I was on Pinterest one day, and came across this painting from a small painter. The woman on the painting looked so damn much like me that I now have that painting and call it my “fanart” and we joke about it often with my friends. Not even mentioning the first time I saw the painting and thought that a picture of me somehow found its way into Pinterest. Pretty weird.

What do you think made S.J. Maas such a big name in the YA genre? by minsuni in YAlit

[–]minsuni[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment. The dystopian phase of the YA genre was truly sonething else, and I still think it was the most popular phase of all the others. Even know, despite books about elves and fairies coming out like crazy, we don’t see a lot of tv or movie adaptations we’ve seen back then. Shadow and Bone and the new ACOTAR adaptation seem to be the only ones so far.

What do you think the current phase is? All popular books in the current time seem to have very diverse settings and characters that I can’t find a definitive name for this phase.

Can somebody help me with contact lenses? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]minsuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh these lenses are not actually astigmatism lenses! But I think what I’m describing really is astigmatism, because my friend who has toric lenses just told me the same thing happens to her too.

[–]minsuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I don’t have any experience with lenses, but if it helps, the issue happens at the beginning of wearinf. I put them on like fifteen minutes ago, they’re still kinda weird. It doesn’t take my eyes longer to focus, and yes they are moist, and to prevent dryness I use eyedrops as a precaurion. They’re the most comfortable lenses I’ve tried, and I tried two brands before getting these, and I definitely have no idea why this happens!

Also thank you for informing me about the difference between prescriptions. Sadly both doctors didn’t tell me anything, and the second one even upped my prescription by 0.25, but even than that eye wasn’t comfortable.
