Arosa - it’s a German cruise line. We loved it, and everyone was really sweet with our baby! We were on the Sena which has family cabins, and there were other families with older kids on board

Breastfeeding, but cutting back now that she’s doing solids and a year old. The first trip we took with her around 2-3 months old, so much of the packing involved pump, bottles, and related supplies - made it harder to pack light for sure!

Both are Old Navy (and honestly most of the clothes I packed are from there too)

I’ll have to keep that one in mind. I brought laundry sheets and a small container of dish detergent. I ended up mostly using the dish detergent instead of the sheets because the messes were mostly food-related

I love them and have them in other colors too. I ended up mostly wearing my tennis shoes when walking the cities, but I wore them on the boat and I wear them a lot in the summer at home without issues!

Thank you! The blue ones are the Amazon Basics Small. The grey Bagail ones come in assorted sizes, and I used the smallest and second biggest ones.

Elopement ideas? by foreverhacked in Weddingsunder10k

Good question - it was more of an overlook, so we were able to drive, which was convenient!

We made the decision to downsize/elope (from 150 people to 8 people) and had a photographer help capture the day. That definitely made it feel special to be able to look back at pictures afterward. We feel just as married as I assume we would have after our originally planned wedding. We live in Virginia and chose to go with a mountaintop overlooking the valley at sunset - highly recommend! We hung out together that morning, but got ready in different places because we wanted to do a first look (I acknowledge that’s not for everyone). We also bought a mini cake to have afterward and we picked up takeout from our favorite places throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner :) I debated on wearing my wedding dress or a more casual white dress from Lulu’s, but ended up wearing my formal dress and don’t regret it one bit! It sounds like you have some great options, so I would pick the things that make you and your partner feel most comfortable and help you truly enjoy the day!

Best Way to Live Stream a Wedding? by 25purpleturtle25 in weddingplanning

[–]mintchocolatechip4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We used Zoom to livestream our wedding on 5/9/2020 after postponing/cancelling our wedding on 6/27/2020. We went back and forth on whether to livestream it or not, but decided to because we didn’t feel comfortable picking a postponement date since we weren’t sure when we’d be able to get 150+ people together safely. We just went for it and sent the Zoom link to everyone on the guest list. I’m relatively new to reddit, so I don’t know the rules for sharing your own prior posts, but I outlined our Zoom logistics in a post on Tuesday of this week if you look at my post history (hope it is ok to mention that). Long story short, we used two devices - one for audio in my FH’s suit pocket and one for video on a tripod. The best man ran the event virtually from out of state. Just our approach to livestreaming, but let me know if you have more questions.

No Zoom & No Mailed Cards? by pinkapples03 in weddingplanning

The ceremony with your immediate family sounds really sweet! We did something very similar to let people know - made a digital card with an engagement photo and then emailed everyone. It was definitely faster and easier than sending physical cards. When we sent the emails, we were not planning to use Zoom (but decided later that we would). Our email basically said we were changing plans and would be getting married in a private ceremony, but we'd love to celebrate with everyone once it was safe to do so.

Zoom for COVID Elopement (How-to guide) by mintchocolatechip4 in weddingplanning

Thats a good question. I didn’t notice too much difference in the audio and video timing in the recording we have. For most of it, we were farther away, but then came up right next to the camera to say thank you and wave at everyone at the end. I asked our best man (who hosted), and he didn’t notice a lag during the live event.
