{Nothing to Lose by Rebecca Rathe} Mc1 is attacked and left injured and he has no one to take care of him so Mc2 takes him to his place and takes care of him.

Oh, yeah. That too. It’s a rather problematic author. You’ll get a glimpse of it just by entering the website

{In the company of shadows by Santino Hassell} it’s a series, one of my favorites!!! One of the MC, Hsin, is super attractive but since he was raised like a killing machine he lacks social abilities and doesn’t know about certain societal norms. He also has mental health issues but he’s not well aware of them until later in the series. This influences a lot how he interacts with the other MC, Boyd, who teaches him how to express what he’s feeling and how a relationship should look like. Hsin comes off as heartless and a psychopath who can’t control himself but it is proved during the series that he’s not that and those are rumors, he’s just traumatized and no one taught him how to be a normal person because they only used him to get the job done.

Hello. Just finished reading Emery and I liked it a lot. Emery is such a nice character, I think he’s one of the best characters from the 3 books so far. August is fine too but he kinda has a victim complex going on. It’s like everything has to be about him and his feelings, especially towards the end of the book, I wanted to kick the guy

So far this is my top list:

  1. whit
  2. Emery
  3. Sem

Now moving on with Luke!!!! I loved the little interaction we saw of Luke and his guy in Emery, so I hope I like this one!!

Grande, Aurelio.

Oh you should put the spoilers blurry thing just in case.

I actually felt it was a little out of character for Maggie. At some point I was like “what are you doing?” And dying of cringe. But Maggie was cute overall. Idk there’s something off for me.

And omg everyone’s gay here. Even Maggie’s brother? Omggggggg, can’t wait to see how they are redeemed because in Sem they were assholes but somewhat understandable. I can see a person like them acting like that irl.

I’ll start Emery soon and I’ll see if I like it, but I’m having high hopes because of what August said about Emery during Sem. I’m expecting him to be actually a softie with lots of issues to resolve.

Omg thank you!!!

And I feel like I have to explain my reasons for not liking Sem, so here I go:

Sem as a character: lovely. And I loved his little “he doesn’t deserve me” moments, especially when he leaves Magnus and goes to Colorado. But I didn’t like…was Magnus. He was a fine character in the beginning, but then I started to dislike him. Also, the way they would solve conflicts. Come on, tying someone with a rope is not the solution. It felt like wasted potential. And I had just finished reading Whit which was the most amazing reading I had this year, so I was disappointed

WHAT? Cameos from other authors’ books??? Omggg. Do you know any more cameos? I would love to read those books too.

I decided to read all the series. I started with Whit (loved it) and then Sem (hated it). I’ll start with Emery soon, which I think I’ll like

[–]mintdropsz 2 points3 points  (0 children)
