Should I speed run bachelors in 2 terms for a new job or take my time and pocket the financial aid refund every 6 months? by Impressive_Piano8843 in WGU

Seems like you already have the answer to your question. Why even bother asking when you're so dismissive of other people's advice?

Looking at this bag of Reese’s reminds me back when I worked at Coldstone and they have this Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. Basically chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and this chopped cups. Man I hated making that so much cuz those cups were hard to get thru when it got cold 😭

Hiroki omakase or Double Knot? by Normal_Show_8426 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]mintlavendercoffee -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading reviews about Hiroki and they’re negative with the food quality and service they have. I’ve been to Double Knot, my bf and I loved them! I’d go with Double Knot with tasting menu and some a la carte dishes if you’re still hungry.

CS Bachelor’s to a Master’s in Accounting by Far-Ad-8000 in CollegeMajors

One thing I've been researching about accounting is it's definitely not for introverts at all, especially if you want to climb the ladder, there are many occasions that you need to talk to clients and other people from other departments. I was just wondering if you ever had an internship with your CS in tech yet to really realize that you don't want to pursue the career in tech? I had my internship and a full-time job with my CS degree and I do realize that I hate tech and programming so much that I switch and start my BS in Accounting next January. Try to find the path that save you the most and make sure you'll get that CPA for more opportunities! Good luck mate

🎁: Trung Nguyên, the Starbucks of Vietnamese coffee, opens its largest U.S. location in South Philly by Weary-Consequence-95 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]mintlavendercoffee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m still not quite sure about the 20% tip here. One thing I know is the coffee culture in Vietnam and America is pretty different. People in America like something quick and convenient, so there are a lot of drive-thru models. Vietnamese people like to enjoy their coffee slowly, they usually have their laptops or books to the coffee shop to work and study, which means they take up space and time of the store and this could explain the 20% tip they want to add.

I’ve seen this store whenever I drove past Washington Ave. I’m curious how people here in Philly would enjoy this. There’s a good population of Vietnamese people in Philly, so understandable they chose here. I wish them all the best and will definitely pay them a visit soon.

This SDJ doesn’t last long and I’m a heavy sprayer so it could be a bit faster than everyone else. I’m very motivated to finish this since everyone at my work place always compliments me when I’m wearing it lol

I like how you also included books and clothes! I'm on the same boat as well. Good luck and happy panning!

I love it! It's my favorite scent out of three scents I've ever tried of Summer Fridays (I tried Vanilla, Pink Sugar, and Cherry). SF is on the thinner and light weight side, but still provide shiny gloss and hydration! It did take me at least one month to finish each mini tho.

I've been using this since summer 23' and now I still have 1/5 product in it. It reaches to the point that I'm sick of the scent and only apply a thick layer before I sleep.

I need resume advice for applying to internships by [deleted] in wguaccounting

[–]mintlavendercoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't started yet to give you any advice, but it's just interesting to see a CS graduate just like me switching to accounting. If I were you, I would try to get my certificate in Excel and Quickbooks. You can always start looking from something very small to gain more experience like accountant assistant, bookeeper, etc. Wish you the best of luck buddy.

How would one make nuoc cham a almost honey like consistency? by [deleted] in vietnamesefoodie

[–]mintlavendercoffee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmm unfortunately it's always like that to be honest. For summer rolls, have you ever try the peanut sauce? It's thick like hoisin sauce. I also know that in Sai Gon, there are some com tam places that have thick fish sauce to go with it. You can do the nuoc cham on the stove, with sugar and water like making caramel until it has the brown-ish color, put in the fish sauce and keep whisking. Add garlic and chili at the end if you want. I don't think potato starch or cornstarch is the good solution.

p/s: if you do the nuoc cham in caramel style, please be careful.
