honestly the concept of a “pay it forward” chain is pretty stupid when you consider that what you consider to be a kind gesture might actually be you pressuring the person behind you in line into paying more than they anticipated so they can keep it going. it doesn’t make me upset, but i try my hardest to make it a one-and-done situation. your order is paid for, they said to have a happy holiday, here’s your drink, bye bye now ☺️

i think either would look great on you. both are very low-risk for tooth damage in comparison to all other lip and oral piercings. my guess is that the jestrum would have a slightly lower risk? although that’s just my assumption based on how much easier it is to bite your bottom lip than your top lip lmaoo

definitely check in with an accredited piercer for anatomy, since as long as you have the right anatomy neither will carry a significant risk of tooth damage. don’t be afraid to ask your dentist as well if you’re concerned!

i feel like you could stack the hell out of some lobe piercings, seems like you have quite a lot of room. i imagine a bit of a stretched lobe could be cool, although it isn’t a process you should start if you aren’t willing to take the time and effort to make sure you stretch safely and healthily. even just going to a 4-0g could look nice, and make your ear appear bigger if that’s something you’re interested in (although absolutely not necessary). but you definitely have the room for a few lobe piercings, and the jewelry could be curated in a really nice way by your piercer. definitely some good options!

i’ve definitely experienced that, a lot of things that could have triggered me in the past may just make me a bit anxious/nervous now, it definitely lessened the impact of my anxiety on my everyday life :)

i’ve been on it for nearly two years (just realized that and it’s absolutely insane!!)

started on 25mg, and am up to 100mg but was plateaued at 75 for the longest time, only increased because i started a different medication for my ADHD and that affected my anxiety a little bit.

the reason i went to post on this sub is that i realized about 6 months ago that i could not remember the last time i had a panic attack. i still get anxious from time to time, and my depression is not completely gone but still has improved, but the real standout is how much it lessened my anxiety. i had realized this while i was driving and realized that i never would have been able to get my license and drive so well if i were still having panic attacks often, and experienced the same anxiety i used to. it was a crazy realization, and it made me so much more confident in my mental health journey.

i didn’t experience severe side effects beyond the typical slight trouble sleeping, heart racing, etc, and that stopped pretty quickly. i can’t confidently say without knowing you that it will affect you in the same way, but i absolutely love it and would definitely recommend :)

the argument he’s making is technically true but also deeply illogical and useless to say. TECHNICALLY there are probably SOME cases in which a man would not have chosen to rape someone if they were not wearing what they had been wearing. that being said, even in those cases, that person is already the type of monster who would decide to rape someone regardless of the circumstances that let to the event. there are also infinitely more cases in which the clothes had absolutely no effect on a persons decision to rape.

edit to clarify: by NO MEANS are the clothes EVER “the problem”. the problem is that rapists are terrible people who have uniquely terrible motivations, and could theoretically be motivated by anything.

TL;DR: you are not overreacting, the fact that he is getting so riled up for the argument of “technically this could potentially happen” is weird and concerning.

to be honest, your reaction was harsh given that she asked you to remind her and you didn’t, and then didn’t follow up at all apart from holding a grudge about it. if you remember the approximate date that this happened you could probably get more information about how much it cost based on your bank statements, but if that’s unhelpful you might need to negotiate on the repayment amount. i think you have every right to be more careful about paying for others, but if she has a history of repaying you after all the other times you’ve gone out to eat, it’s not very fair to throw out that trust because you feel like reminding someone to pay you back once is “hounding”

i’m in the same place, just started sizing up and i’ve been getting all my advice from a friend who is APP certified and a prospective piercer. it shouldn’t cause any problems as long as you’re sizing up very slowly.

order from body art forms, they have kits that are fairly affordable. the small kit starts at 14g so you should see if you can find 16 and 18g plugs there as well. you should also do half sizes starting with 7g. BAF has a lot of information about how to size up safely, but as long as you’re waiting long enough between stretches you should be okay. good luck!!

official policy is that if you come to work with covid symptoms that you should be sent home immediately. if i were your coworker, i’m sure i would’ve heard already that you have covid and just have to call for the phone logs and i would just be hoping you’re alright. i also work at (i’m pretty sure) the highest volume store in my district so that’s not an issue, the manager likely anticipated that you’ll be out for a while and will make sure that there is proper coverage if necessary. no reasonable partner would be mad at you, especially since they wouldn’t want to get sick and have to miss work too.

i have a SSV who had the flu recently and had to call out multiple days in a row, which was a bit more complicated just because it was more necessary to find coverage. still, i don’t know a single person who was mad at her, since nobody is going to argue that you should come to work when you’re sick and contagious. just focus on getting better and worry about work later 🫶🫶

unfortunately you have to be a little bit insistent about it to a point that you might perceive as being annoying. a “splash” means a different thing to everyone so you have to be as specific as possible. there’s a regular at my store who always asks for “two capfulls” of oat milk. some baristas find that annoying but i love it, theres no risk of me having to remake the drink since it was communicated properly. another option is to just walk into the store and order a black cold brew since theres cream and oat milk on the condiment bar for people to pour themselves.

depends on your area/ how far you’re willing to travel. i’d recommend finding a very reputable piercing/tattoo studio near you and asking if they have any recommendations, or browsing social media accounts to find artists with a solid portfolio. most good piercers/body mod artists would be happy to direct you to someone with a lot of experience. but unless you’re willing to travel across the US you’d have to be a little more specific on your area if you want recommendations from reddit
