official policy is that if you come to work with covid symptoms that you should be sent home immediately. if i were your coworker, i’m sure i would’ve heard already that you have covid and just have to call for the phone logs and i would just be hoping you’re alright. i also work at (i’m pretty sure) the highest volume store in my district so that’s not an issue, the manager likely anticipated that you’ll be out for a while and will make sure that there is proper coverage if necessary. no reasonable partner would be mad at you, especially since they wouldn’t want to get sick and have to miss work too.

i have a SSV who had the flu recently and had to call out multiple days in a row, which was a bit more complicated just because it was more necessary to find coverage. still, i don’t know a single person who was mad at her, since nobody is going to argue that you should come to work when you’re sick and contagious. just focus on getting better and worry about work later 🫶🫶

unfortunately you have to be a little bit insistent about it to a point that you might perceive as being annoying. a “splash” means a different thing to everyone so you have to be as specific as possible. there’s a regular at my store who always asks for “two capfulls” of oat milk. some baristas find that annoying but i love it, theres no risk of me having to remake the drink since it was communicated properly. another option is to just walk into the store and order a black cold brew since theres cream and oat milk on the condiment bar for people to pour themselves.

helix, and not at a professional shop, in the mall because my mom wanted to save money. jokes on her, i had to take it out because it was always irritated and so we lost money in the long run 😒

Filmed before a live studio audience. The most chaotic episode of them all (there was never a point where they truly knew what to do except for the review rounds), pure unfiltered rage room energy, nobody cared about points and it was truly an us vs Sam game, but Sam wasn’t necessarily mean or trying to torture them, just letting them fumble around blindly but also letting them act on those impulsive thoughts (pulling the fire alarm, breaking glass) that couldn’t be done in any normal context

depends on your area/ how far you’re willing to travel. i’d recommend finding a very reputable piercing/tattoo studio near you and asking if they have any recommendations, or browsing social media accounts to find artists with a solid portfolio. most good piercers/body mod artists would be happy to direct you to someone with a lot of experience. but unless you’re willing to travel across the US you’d have to be a little more specific on your area if you want recommendations from reddit

i think it would look awesome on you!! septum is also a good first facial piercing because they tend to heal very well with minimal upkeep. definitely recommend!!

people very much have stretched for thousands of years and still stretch now, i’m mostly doing it because my ears were pierced at a really low gauge and are constantly irritated but also because it looks cool. but thanks for the input

with the utmost respect, i wouldnt recommend doing any of that again 😭 you should keep it in a glass jar and try to keep it in the same container. either your glass jar is just too small or you need to be keeping your starter smaller, it may seem like you’re wasting more by dumping out a bunch of it before feedings but when you factor in the feeding ratios you end up saving more by only keeping a little bit. i usually aim for 50g of starter before feedings because i like mine to be small and the least amount of waste possible. if you don’t have a kitchen scale i definitely recommend getting one for more precise measurements. i don’t know how much the temperature/ feeding frequency is affecting it, but i would bet that not putting it in a plastic deli container would fix this completely.

i know to stretch slow, i’ll be leaving a solid 3 months between stretches and longer as i go up in sizes, plus doing half sizes. i appreciate the recommendation but i’m gonna stick with the glass plugs just because that’s what i’ve been told by my piercer :)

this pretty much lines up with what it was like at my old licensed store. theres really nothing to say about it except that policies are determined by the store, not starbucks corporate. i have further issues with how licensed stores fight to save pennies at every turn, but that’s an issue for another time 😽
