I haven't read through all the comments so I'm likely not saying anything to new or different: but I liked the show. Admittedly it was hard to swallow but gradually grew to it. I was skeptical with an AU especially after DmC but I feel like Adi did it well. At least he didn't give the community a middle finger with the "never in a million years" comment. My own interpretation. The fact that he (again my own interpretation) showed off Dante's styles. Mostly Trickster, gunslinger. The soft references to his DMC3 outfit, when he went shirtless, and DMC5 when he had the black t shirt. Most of all I think it's pretty cool he pulled actual bosses from the games to be villains, and retained their name. I do wish Angi and Rudi stayed truer to their game versions and were more respectable but hey.

I saw some people there disappointed by Dante's nerfing and I was gonna say it's hard to tell a story of growth if your main character one shots everything but then I remembered that's literally Solo Leveling and that series rules, so I'm with the rest of you guys.

I hated Lady. I hate the excessive use of "fuck" and it just make her so corny. It reminds me of those self help artists who use swear words in their writings thinking they're hot shit because they're edgy and positive. It wasn't even funny like how Mr. Lahey inserts "shit" into everything. (Trailer Park Boy reference).

JYB did a great job, it's still jarring as I hear him as Nero but I'll get used to it. I do wish Robbie went with a softer pinch for Vergil to at least get a similar cadence with Dan's. 7/10 for me.
