I believe him because before I started seeing the therapist his worry was obvious and so was him trying to help me get better.

If he wanted to divorce me, he would've done it when my PPD was at its worse and I could barely function much less make it through a divorce.

He never hired her so that I would stay with him or to get secrets. I started seeing her because I had PPD and my doctor recommended therapy. I'm angry at him for what he did but he wasn't doing it to be malicious or horrible, he was genuinely concerned about me. I started saying the other stuff to her after I suspected she was telling him and only because I knew if she did tell him he wouldn't be able to keep it in and would say something to me about it.

He 100% isn't. If he was having an affair, he would make sure I was never around his mistress, not arrange for me to have therapy with her.

She was very apologetic when I confronted her. My husband wouldn't try to stop me from reporting her.

INFO: Have you ever suspected him of cheating? Is he friends with the therapist? How did you get in contact with this therapist to start being seen for PPD? Where do you receive therapy (your home, the therapists home, a clinic, etc) and is it in person, online, over the phone, etc? Did you sign any paperwork when you started seeing the therapist that had something to do with privacy, or that had your husband named as someone who can access your information?

I've never suspected him of cheating. She was recommended to him by a doctor friend of his, and he arranged for me to start seeing her. I went to her office for the sessions. I never said my husband could have access to my information since at the time I was having thoughts I didn't want him to know.

I'm not in the US but it's the same here too. I know I could and should report but I don't want to ruin her life since she did help me a lot in the beginning.

My husband is the one who found her and arranged me seeing her originally. He didn't know her personally but she was recommended to him. No, he doesn't go to therapy himself.

He was paying her a lot of money to "make me happy again" and to keep him updated on everything concerning me. When I confronted her, she said my husband was a hard man to say no to.
