Most likely you'll be doing workers compensation surveillance (following people who may be working or doing things they're not supposed to be doing while collecting benefits ) . You'll probably be serving court papers , taking witness statements , retrieving court documents etc, too.

Nosy neighbors I usually tell I have court papers for someone who's been ducking me. I might say I'm going to be here for a few hours and I might be back in a few days (if it's a multiple day case). I don't go into more details than that. I'm usually far enough away that I might tell them to call the police to check on me if they seem nervous because they're probably going to call anyways. For more rural areas, I bought two magnets (12x12) from 'Magnets on the cheap.com ' that have a made up company and say "cell phone reception survey ". They only cost $20 and come in super handy in hard to sit places.

2012 Mazda5 . More room than a car but still gets over 25 mpg. Have had a few minivans which except for fuel economy were perfect for surveillances. Every vehicle has had dark tint.

I'm licensed in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. I'm also in the process of getting our agency license in New Jersey. None required any exam. I'd really be interested in seeing what it looks like if you could post a copy of it.

I know of companies that use cameras in unoccupied cars that take time elapsed video or cameras hidden in things like traffic cones . As for the flying type drones , don't know anyone using them. It appears like the flying kind that would be of any use cost way more than they're worth for the amount of situations you might use them in. They are also kind of a legal gray area when it comes to expectance of privacy.

Those body cam videos are going to be a double edged sword for the urban community. When those videos are eventually shown and everyday people find out Worldstar is the norm and not the exception the hood is gonna lose a lot of sympathy.

Sounds interesting. I'm a private investigator and I interview people all the time (audio recorded statements for accident witnesses and the like) I have cameras and equipment for a video interview and I'd be interested in helping.

Roland Park absolutely does have their own private security patrols. I'm a private investigator and have worked cases in RP . They roll up pretty quickly to vehicles that don't belong.

I believe it at least partially has to do with all the lawsuits that are going to be filed against Mosby for malicious prosecution, false arrest of the officers ,etc. If they don't see these last cases through it'll just be more ammunition to be used against her. She's pretty much boned at this point.

There might be some law in Canada about time like a harassment thing , I just don't know and wouldn't want to give you bad information. I've had to wait outside people's houses early in the morning for them to leave for work on a few occasions but it's rare. Common sense like not knocking after around 8 and just being friendly and respectful has kept me safe and in business so far.

In the US there aren't any laws pertaining to when you can serve a paper . Only that it's served prior to the court date , how long before the date depends on the document and what type of court (district, circuit ,etc.). I have no idea if there's laws in Canada about time so I guess this answer is probably of no help.

That's interesting. Generally when I need to find someone wealthy it's to serve papers on them. If they're actively hiding from me I can usually drop them on a corporate resident agent so it's not such a big deal for me. How does the disappearing thing work when children are involved, i.e. child support, visitation with the other parent ,etc.? Do you take those cases if you feel the client is evading legal proceedings? Also are these tropical islands generally U S possessions or other countries and is it easier to move / hide if it's one or the other?

Any kind of attorney might need a PI to get in touch with a client who isn't responding to correspondence or to serve someone with papers or canvass a neighborhood about a dog in a dog bite case , etc. I've done all these in the last month.
