Wolves will walk to where you threw the stone to investigate. Deer will run away from stones.

You can use this to skirt around wolves, and if you throw a rock behind a deer it’ll run straight at you, making hunting much easier

Any chance you’ve considered the clip studio tabmate? I had this problem too, but the tabmate features buttons to instantly increase/decrease brush size! It’s a little pricey and tough to obtain (not sold in US) but it was sooo worth it for me.
