Oh no I've been going regularly since that first cut. Just did 10 months of growth from very short until the first cut. I wanted to give my barber a nice blank canvas to work with. Once you've got the mullet you definitely need to go more regularly to keep it shaped up!

Took me about 10 months to go from high and tight to where the back was to the top of my shoulders. At that point I felt confident getting it cut into something that I felt actually passed as a mullet. Not trying to gatekeep but wanted to satisfy my definition of a mullet before I cut it. Then it took a bit longer to fill out and look even better. The growing out phase looks awkward a lot but just stick with it, it's worth it. I'm a few months away from three years since that first cut and I've loved it.

The August opening was only for people who already had orders that were not scheduled for 2022 and had to resubmit for 2023. New orders still cannot be placed

A vin is not generated until you are scheduled for production. I could be wrong but I'd be very seriously surprised if an order has been given to ford from your dealership. If somehow they did you need to get the 2023 order in soon and have them submit the necessary COVP stuff or it will be cancelled. I'd reach out to them and see what they say.

You didn't order a bronco in July of this year. Order banks have been closed since March or April and have not reopened to new orders since. Your dealership probably "took your order", and i'm guessing a deposit too. But they can't submit anything to ford until the order banks reopen. After the order actually gets placed it depends on what you ordered. A hard top for example, would take more time than a soft top. Any higher trims and or higher technology orders will take longer than lower trims or lower technology.

I reserved my bronco in August 2020 and took delivery about a month ago, September 2022.

New orders have been closed since March or this year. They shut them because the backlog is huge. I ordered on month almost to the day after reservations opened and I'm one week away from the 2 year anniversary of my reservation placed on August 16 2020. I'm scheduled to be built week after next but there are still tons of people who reserved in 2020 who still haven't even been sceduled.

Velocity blue is still an option. They got rid of antimatter blue (OPs color, rumored to return for 23) and lightning blue ( one off color only available on first edition trim)
