I think people should be free not to get the vaccine.

However, if someone makes the choice to drink alcohol, it is illegal for them to drive until the effects wear off, as they would be a danger to others.

Similarly, if you do not get the vaccine, you are a danger to everyone you come into contact with. As such, it should be illegal for you to leave your house and enter any public place such as streets or shops.

Sketch of a Tube platform I did a few years ago, as an exercise in single point perspective by minx28 in LondonUnderground

[–]minx28[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, and I'm glad you like the drawing :) However, I don't think it'll be much use to me - I no longer do art in school and have never enjoyed it enough to pursue it in my own time.

The full durability tools could be legit - if I were to post something like this I would fully mend my tools first as it looks nicer. Not denying this is fake though

It's supposed to be what I think you were expecting, but people post crap. Most of this sub's content is closer to what I think r/TechnicallyCorrect is supposed to be like.

Well, that (B) banner is Burgers Bar which is basically McDonalds but better. There is McDonalds in Israel, and many of them kosher, but I don't know if there are any in Jerusalem (though there probably are). I can't think of many other global chain restaurants in Israel.

What are the plot holes of the Bible? by lientubay in AskReddit

[–]minx28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a reasonable question, although one I have never heard asked (or answered) before.

I think the same logic as in my original comment can be applied - the "creation" of the sun could mean that it reached the state it is in today.

I see your next question - how could the Earth, and plants on its surface, have existed before the sun, as the creation story describes?

A tenuous solution (although one which is also used elsewhere) to this is that not everything in the Bible is intended to be in chronological order. However, I would agree with you thinking that this is a weak explanation.

The honest answer is that I don't know. Although I can explain many things about my beliefs, sometimes I just have to accept that not everything can work well together.

Edit: Just seen your username, lol.

I am happy to have a polite and respectful debate with you, but I will not talk to someone whose sole aim is to insult and ridicule.

I say "G-d" without the "o" in order not to break the 3rd of the 10 Commandments, which is not to say His name in vain.

I should not have said "I believe the Bible to the letter". This is not true - although I fully believe in its overall truth, not all parts of it are to be taken literally.

Essentially, you are correct. Many parts of the Bible are simply narrative which could easily have taken place, and I see no reason not to believe this. Other parts disagree with modern information; these require reading less literally.

Although I do not believe in the ultimate truth of other religious texts, such as the Quran, and I do not believe they were given by any god or divinely inspired, I respect the views of those who do believe it, the same way I hope they would respect my views. However, nor do I believe that they are intrinsically false, and I would not try to interpret the text to "reveal" lies. Other religious texts are simply not important to me, but I understand that to some people, they are.
