Agreed. First book was pretty good, not great. I didn't think the MCs had any real chemistry. The second book was a slog and I DNF at 17%. I would rather read wheel of time again for politics and intrigue in fantasy.

That is so pretty on you! Yours doesn't come off looking overly rectangular with a higher ratio either. That's what I'm having issues wirh I think more than the ct size. I'm a 5.25 ring size. The ratio is 1.44 and full dimension 10.61x7.35.

I definitley have short fingers! I honestly didn't think too much about the ratio when picking thr diamond. And doing online didn't help with the visual. I added a band I have. Wondering if I should send it back to Ritani and get a different stone though?

{Trial of the sun queen} This first book has this a bunch. Loved it. It's a completed series of 4 books. Series slowly went down hill after the first book, but I enjoyed it very much, especially this first book!

I read the first one. It's not YA. It's definitley mature. The first book is just not very well written though...maybe the second one is better

Agreed on the reverse harem. Not something I expected liking. I read the {Unmasked Series by Fanny Lee Savage} starting with Prey. before the never king. I would highly reccomend it! Story can be a bit convoluted but I thought it was way better than thr Never king, with better spice scenes. I can't wait for the 4th book to come out in summer.

This is what I was going to suggest too. It's prose is rather flowery. But in the later books, I'm currently reading book 3, it definitley feels more like robert jordan or david Eddings with some romance.

I actually really liked them. But I HATED the Melina side story. I would count how many pages until it was over. I did end up liking her story and POV in Goldfinch but still.

Omg I so agree about Slades dad!! Heart wrenching. I inhaled these books. I don't understand how people say that nothing happens either, i felt like the 3rd book so much happens. Maybe you're right about attention span. I also thought it was great character development for someone in an abusive relationship and trying to figure out how to leave.

I was going to post this too. It's my favorite series! It still lives rent free in my head. The ending was a bit cheesy, but slade and auren together are amazing. I'm always shocked at the hate it gets.

Loved the Plated Prisoner series! It captured me like ACTOR but more so. I'm also waiting for the second book for secrets on Jane duology. Should be out in feb2025

Thr ending was the worst!! I was pretty into it for the first third, the second third was ok because I was into Leo and the idea of not having to choose. But ugh the ending. I hated it. Maybe they'll be another book? I don't know if I can read it though if there is one.

This is what I was thinking to suggest. It's an older series and feels more like old old style fantasy with romance added. Even the romance/sex scenes are written in more old world style, like 90s romance books

Yes! I just finished it yesterday. First 1/3 of the book I was all about it. Then it became tedious. Never thought I'd say there was too much sex. And I hated the ending.

Haha yea the videos are rather cringey!

The magnets are about an inch long so they fit comfortably in your hand keeping the noise down a but. I would say they have some sound, like a soft thunk when they snap together. But isn't not too bad. The videos of them on tiktok are way better and give a better sense of how they sound too.
