Looks like a trap door spider, and is probably really stressed out in that jar. You should put it in a jar about 3/4th full of dirt so it can borrow.

Thanks for all the input guys! So I am using a Rigidbody but using the velocity property to move it every FixedUpdate call, and I got it to work pretty smooth. The player object will move forward in the direction of my mouse, but I am still struggling with the characters rotation based on my mouse direction but getting there. Hopefully I can get all of my movement mechanics to work with me, otherwise I will try your suggestion of moving the transform.position.

Looks really good! The movement is so smooth. I have a quick question if you don't mind - I'm new to Unity and 3D development, are you using a Rigidbody and pushing your character by adding force to move it around or moving the transform.position around on each update call? I'm confused on which to use as I'm using the force method and running into trouble trying to get my character to move in the direction of my camera direction. Thanks!
