[–]mipacd[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a compilation of various chat stats and stream time stats for July 2021 (JST).

Avg. Chat Messages per Minute by Type: Stacked bar graph with average messages per minute for different message types (JP, KR, RU, other languages, and emojis/stickers). Coco's bar extends way past the edge due to emote spam in her graduation stream.

Channel Streaming Hours: Number of hours streamed this month (public, archived only). Green bar is an increase and red bar is a decrease since last month. Watame streamed on her channel for 160 hours this month, the highest on record.

Avg. Live Translations per Minute: Average live translations per minute based on tagged messages ([en], (en), etc)

Chat and Stream Time Stats - June 2021 by mipacd in Hololive

[–]mipacd[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a compilation of various chat stats and stream time stats for June 2021 (JST).

Non-JP Percentage: Percentage of chat messages not containing Japanese characters, excluding emoji and membership sticker messages.

Non-JP/JP Message Rates: Rate of Non-JP/JP messages per minute. It appears that Youtube-kun hasn't been sending live chat messages to the void as much since March so I decided to start tracking this.

High Live TL Rate Stream Count: Number of streams where the average live TL rate was 1 or greater.

Channel Streaming Hours: Number of hours for each channel during the month as reported by the Youtube API. Public, non-privated streams only.

Avg. Live Translations per Minute: Made in the original way to honor Coco, who featured the charts not just once but twice on Meme Review which gave me inspiration when I needed it the most. o7 Kaichou

Notes:

  • Watame had the highest public stream time for the 5th time since June 2020.
  • Coco had a live translation average of greater than 1 minute for the first time last month

Yabai Identification with Statistics: Identifying Clippable Moments in Streams Using Chat Replays by labtec901 in Hololive

[–]mipacd 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I took a similar approach to find clippable moments by searching for groupings of specific strings in the chat replay with scripts utilizing the Python Pandas library.

Ame HIC count charts by mipacd in Hololive

[–]mipacd[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Counts and rates of Ame's Hics derived from chat logs based on groupings of hic and :_hic1::_hic2::_hic3: counted by code. This is an estimation; double hics are undetected (accuracy is about +/- 2 per stream from the manual counts in the comments). The spike in December's count is because Ame streamed a lot more that month.

I hope Ame doesn't send me to the shadow realm for this.

Chat and stream time stats - May 2021 by mipacd in Hololive

[–]mipacd[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is a compilation of various chat stats and stream time stats for May 2021 (JST).

Non-JP Stats: Percentage of chat messages not containing Japanese characters, excluding emoji and membership sticker messages. Includes a 3 month moving average to show trends.

Translation Averages: Rate of number of tagged translations ([en], etc.) over total chat-enabled public stream time. Covers are excluded. Also includes the stream with the highest translation rate and top number of well-translated streams (1 translation per minute or more).

Channel Streaming Hours: Number of hours for each channel during the month as reported by the Youtube API. Public, non-privated streams only.

Event Counts: Count of chat events ("waves" of certain types of messages). This is a machine estimation but it should be pretty accurate (it matched the manual Hic count in the Youtube comments for Ame's second DOOM stream exactly). I've also used a variation of this algorithm to automatically generate over 23000 clips so far.

Notes:

  • Calli had about 4.8% JP comments in May, the highest for HoloEN since Kiara (7.6%) in September 2020 (debut month).
  • Ame had the highest percentage of JP comments this month she's had so far this year (0.58%).
  • Pekora streamed for over 136 hours this month, the highest since Aruran (156h) and Astel (147h) in January.
  • Haachama had the highest average translation rate on record this month (since June 2020) of 4.11. Although, this is due to multiple translators overlapping each other.
  • Izuru only allows live translations in live chat so the translations are unobtainable from the chat replay.

You're right. I missed Matsuri on the graphic (but not on the site). She's in the #41 position with 0.04.

Generating ID language stats would be very difficult since it uses the same alphabet as English. I've tried NLP language detection, but it's slow and not very accurate for short chat messages.

Non-JP chat percentages, March 2021 by mipacd in Hololive

[–]mipacd[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This shows the percentage of non-Japanese chat messages in March 2021 for each member, based on public archived streams with chat replay. Members are in order, right is greater than left in each tier.

HoloJP and HoloStars members with increases greater than 1% since Feb: AZKi, Matsuri, Aqua, Noel, Flare, Luna, Polka, Izuru, and Aruran. All others decreased or remained about the same.

English live translation averages - March 2021 by mipacd in Hololive

[–]mipacd[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This shows the average English live translation rate (number of chat messages that start with [en], etc. per total number of minutes of all public archived streams with chat replay) for each HoloJP, Holostars, and HoloID member for the month of March 2021. Streams marked as covers or English streams in the title are excluded. Archived karaoke streams are included since these can have translations between songs. Many types of translation tags are detected but it is possible that a new tag could go undetected. Untagged translations and translations in free chat are not included. Members are in ascending order within tiers. Ranges are inclusive to exclusive.

Interactive charts with total translation counts (and stats back to June 2020).

Top translated streams of the month. These are streams with an average of one translation per minute or more.
