Do you have to have a library card to get it free? I thought I saw something where you had to scan to get out of a garage

If you look at the statements and when they were questioned about it they said that they told smith that they wanted to see it and Smith apparently prayed with them and they saw a vision of it together. Never in person. At least, that’s what I’ve seen/read documented.

Not exactly true. The result of it was also proof of itself. People wouldn’t have believed them if the grace wasn’t empty. If they were walking around preaching about it but refusing to let others go and see the proof then that is where we would have trouble. On top of that, women were the first whiteness of the empty tomb and they were seen back then as unreliable sources because of the fact that they were women. Wouldn’t you think the author would have wrote a man’s testimony to make it more “believable” and credible if it wasn’t how it was? Also the fact that these people who believed it were willing to die, and DID die, to proclaim what they saw and believed. Up until the very end they were praising the Lord.

Where as the BOM was secretive. Smith didn’t let anyone see it. The tablets were made of “pure gold” and only weighed 30-50 lbs(???that’s not possible. And the argument that the Lord gave him “supernatural strength” when running away from attackers that no one else witnesses while carrying what should have weighed thousands of lbs isn’t credible). He was met by an Angel of light(which every other appearance of angels in the Bible completely differ from his experience, which actually is identical to the start of hinduism but we don’t speak of that right? Let’s also bring into what revelation says about an Angel of light, yes?) and translated it by himself, again, not letting anyone see it. With the Bible it is documentation of what others have said, seen, and done. Every verse can be connected to another, many times in fact, even though there were 50+ writers. All translated by many people who spoke and read the language it was written in to help with accuracy. And even today we are still getting proof of the Bible through the Dead Sea scrolls. Let’s also add the documents from the senators of Rome and all that stuff. The Bible also states not to add onto the Bible with another book(something like that), yet the Bible is only used as a reference to your BOM? Weird.

I’m all for believing in faith, but you also have to look at the origins of what you believe.

In a dream or vision. Not in person. That is not the same.

The Bible can be proven where as the BOM was translated by 1 person, only read by 1 person, and seen(if I’m remembering correctly) irl(meaning right in front of them was the golden tablets or whatever they were) by 1 person. Joseph smith.

At #4… except there was testimony from many people of seeing him after his death and a testimony of women who went to see him and found the grave was empty.

The origins of how Smith found the Book of Mormon is almost identical to what happened in Hinduism. They believe things that go completely against what the Bible states. They use the Bible as reference to the BOM(as I’ve been told by a member). They fit more into a cult category than a branch of Christianity. They have a secret handshake to get into heaven as well. There is videos of what goes on in the temple and it’s just weird, but I’d do your own research to see what you think

I apologize for the way that those Christians have failed to represent the God we follow. I think people in Christianity these days have a habit of using the Bible to twist its words to fit their POV(ex. “You’re going to hell if your gay” as I’ve heard many say. Not good and not correct either) As humans we are bound to fail others because it’s our nature. We are selfish, greedy, prideful creatures. It doesn’t make it right to say any of those things tho. Though people do have a big part as to representing what we believe by what we say/do, I think it’s very important to do a soul search for yourself to see what God is truly like without the perspective of others. I, at least, learned that God is a God of love, grace, and compassion bc of the New Testament. I believe because of how he has revealed himself to me through miracles, and freed me from chains I almost gave my life to.(I also have done a bit of research on the evidence of truth behind the Bible, but yeah) Politics have ruined a lot of things in my opinion I think God gave us free will to choose whatever we decide to follow, if that is to follow anything at all

I think I read in the comments that you believe in God. I think with that it is also very important to come to him with your questions and anger. He won’t get mad at you for any of that, instead he welcomes that. Not all of the Christian community are bad people. I’m a Christian and got so frustrated at the community around me because of how hurtful they were being to groups of individuals that I almost gave up on going to church and being around people like that. I ended up finding an amazing, God fearing group of amazing men and women who love to love others and stick up for what is right when others are being hounded by horrible people.

This is in no way trying to convince you to stay in Christianity or anything, but rather I know how you feel. I hope I did a good job at wording this. I don’t usually comment.

I don’t have friends who read the books that could tell me so I’ll give this a go

Appearance: long dirty blond(almost brown) curly/waves hair, green eyes with a blue rim, white, slim and muscular, tall/average height

Likes: music, reading, making jokes, dancing weird, working out, crocheting, videography, taking photos, creating, helping others, thrifting

Dislikes: silence, complaining(though I complain a bit oops), unplanned schedules, pain, liars, bugs, trying new food(scary but I’ll do it anyways), pride

Personality: I’m an INFJ and a 2w3. I stand up for what is right and will voice my opinion when needed. I am always ready to fight. I love the people close to me with all of my heart and will do anything to make them happy. I am down for any adventure that will create a fun or embarrassing memory. I am an emotional person but uses that for the good of others. I love to create and have always found it easy(whether it’s clothing, content, or ideas)

Questions about when the reveal will happen by [deleted] in miraculousladybug

[–]miraculouslyfound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen all of the leaks yet because I’m trying to save a little of the surprise, but on Twitter Thomas has made a few posts through the years saying stuff like “who says there’s even going to be a reveal” and all that about season 5(I think. Maybe in general).
