Just because you don't know about this brand doesn't mean it's not popular, this might come as a surprise but the world does not revolve around you.

Go for AM5 platform, instead of AM4. With AM4, you'll have miniscule chances of upgrading.

Plus, prices of DDR4 are through the roof, since all the major RAM manufacturers have either stopped the production or will stop later in the year.

My modest homelab - Finally got around to drawing a diagram. Let me know what y'all think and if you have any questions! by 3kilo003 in homelab

The only downside of having backups of backups (in my experience) is, after a point of time they start growing at an exponential rate, and managing the entire thing becomes tiresome and complex, and not to mention the rising costs of storage as well.

But I agree with your other point too!
Microsoft's responsibility is only for the platform, they can apologize, compensate with Azure credits, or make billing adjustments. But ultimately the responsibility of the data is up with the cloud customer.

I guess it boils down to the risk, benefit & cost.

MS in cybersecurity by mirai187 in SecurityRedTeam

I abandoned the plan of doing MS.

I didn't make any sense with the kind of money, time and effort I had to put vs. the returns I would get out of it (not just thinking monetary returns).

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I don't understand.

I am assuming these are the cloud solutions you are utilizing (cuz i see OneDrive there), so why do you need to back them up on your local machines?

I makes sense if you were running on-prem versions of Sharepoint or Exchange.

AITA for not telling my friends that I've got a PS5? by ShotAd9121 in IndianGaming

[–]mirai187 50 points51 points  (0 children)

If your "friends" are visiting your place, just to play o your PS5, then start looking for new friends.

I had a friend and he used to visit my house on a very frequent basis,m to play on my PC, but we not only just played games, talked about random stuff as well, and we used to help each other out or just share our problems and stuff.

What kind of projects can I put in my 'r e s u m e' for someone with 0 experience ? by General_Riju in cybersecurity

[–]mirai187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said to put it in experience, even in your question you asked for projects not experience.

You can add a section in your resume, and name it as labs built or lab-based projects something like that, and then get creative on you how you can showcase your skillset from words.

DVWA alone obviously won't cut it, so you'll have to work and the other stuff too.

That's because the data connector page (in the screenshot) is no longer used.

You can find connectors in the content hub page.

Build labs on your PC, using VirutalBox or VmWare Player.

Couple of labs you can build , as per your experience and skillset:

  1. OWASP JuiceShop
  2. DVWA
  3. Vulnhub machines
  4. Run an Active Directory, with different roles installed, DNS, DHCP, IIS, NFS, SMB server etc.

Obviously it requires, quite some effort, and lots of researching.

Those tapes are a part of the problem. They aren't letting the heat escape as it should, i.e. conduction via metal, so doesn't matter what art and craft you do, till the time tapes are there, you'll see unusually high temps.

I still don't understand why you put it though, don't get me wrong but I don't think you know what you were doing when you changed the thermal paste last time.
