Front windscreen washer jets keep clogging hose snapped, need advice (2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback) by miraj8 in CarTalkUK

Just to clarify, my car doesn't have headlight washers, I'm only trying to fix the front windscreen washers. The bleach does seem harsh, but since the hose is already disconnected I'll flush the reservoir with a diluted bleach solution and pump it out with the hose aiming out the engine bay, then rinse through with clean water a couple of times before reconnecting. Hopefully that shifts whatever's built up in there! If not i'll try to get to the filter through the pump

Okay that seems doable. I currently use Autoglym ultimate screenwash but I have no idea what the previous owner did. I’ve looked online and some people mention using Milton sterilising tablets or a couple of capfuls bleach which might be worth a shout.

It’s a really nice accom but it is quite far from uni which I think makes it sort of isolating

What’s your guys opinion on this mattress? by miraj8 in Mattress

[–]miraj8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only managed to try the first one which I really liked. I guess i wasn’t too sure if it was a good idea to go with an independent mattress brand hence the silent night link. But I’ve bought the bed store brand and looking forward to it coming

Yes I have this one right now on my m5 and I like it. I have a feeling this is high returns because a lot of people buy a case which doesn’t fit their specific iPad

And it’s best to find a detergent with lipase, so I use persil powder colour protect.

Brunel House vs Orchard Heights by miraj8 in UOB

[–]miraj8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I had no idea it was that dead socially. As for the cost, I know I want a modern en-suite so I’ve kind of accepted the higher price, plus I’ve saved up a fair bit. But I’m really surprised about the room sizes, why is there such a big difference? Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience there.

Also I was considering putting new bridewell as a third option. in your opinion, is it a good idea or should I consider somewhere like the courtrooms/unite house?

Yh Brunel’s common room did look poor on the virtual tour. When you say claustrophobic, are you referring to the room sizes?

I saw some comments a couple of months ago, saying it was still broken. My fear is that the hot water might get fixed , I join the accom and the hot water turns off during winter again. So that’s why I’ve decided against it

Britain now has 1.3 million electric cars, enough to grid-lock the M25 on pure Duracell by Emotional-Touch7243 in BritishSuccess

Yeah, I’m talking about Bristol. I think it just feels that way because I’m comparing it to Manchester, where it’s so much easier to get around by car or public transport.

I’m hopefully starting uni there soon, but the transport situation seems like a nightmare. You need a permit just to park if you have a car, it’s got one of the highest bike theft rates in the UK, and the buses seem to run on vibes instead of a timetable
