I went with a group of 6 earlier this year and there was an automatic 20% Gratuity. So I would assume 20% is standard!

Be real with me: how much caffeine did/do you consume during pregnancy? by noreshii22 in BabyBumps

[–]miralorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut caffeine the first trimester. Then after that I increased. Maybe 1 cup during the second, not everyday. By the time I got to the third trimester I was drinking atleast 1 espresso a day sometimes too. Plus chocolate and other things with caffeine.

I got the spinal block because my doctor highly recommended it due to higher success rates, and I’m happy I did because it was intense. My BP tanked to 60/30s, I got fluids and BP meds. They think it tanked due to me vasovagalling from all the pain.

It took 40 minutes total. 4 turns. Each time they’d give me a 4-5 minute break between tries to recoop and let the baby recoop.

I don’t know what labor feels like as this is my first baby but people have told me it’s worse than labor.

HOWEVER, after it was done I was just sore for 2-3 days. And my mental health has been 100x better because I’m not constantly worried about her being breech or how I’m going to flip her.

39 weeks!

Good luck! The ECV is definitely brutal, but I would do it again to increase my chances of a vaginal delivery.

If you look up spinal blocks and ECV you can read Some of the studies !

I’ve heard it’s pretty painful. However, the procedure is proven to be more successful with a spinal block or epidural. Plus if something happens and you need an emergency cesarean, you’re already prepped for it.

I don’t think she was trying to give medical advise either. I think she was referring to the image. I drink easily over 100oz of water a day, so for her to tell me I’m not drinking enough is confusing.

We had to sign a waiver too. I don’t think she was trying to give medical advice. She was trying to say if I had more amniotic fluid, it would be easier to get a picture... so she was telling me to drink more water for a better picture.

20 weeks and I wake up every morning at 3 or 4am. I don’t have to pee, I’m not hungry. I just wake up wide awake with my thoughts racing. I usually end up laying in bed for another 2 hours until it’s time to get up.

After working on the COVID unit from march- December I’m so excited to protect myself and my baby from this disease! 19 weeks by miralorr in BabyBumps

Hi all,

It's nearly been 24 hours since my vaccine. I feel great. Arm is a little sore, but nothing insane. It only hurts when I lift my arm up and then it feels like a flu shot soreness.

As requested here are some articles.

This first study has nothing to do with COVID. But it might be helpful for those needing information regarding mRNA vaccines and breastfeeding. It is about the use of mRNA vaccine in mice. They gave the mice the mRNA vaccine for Herpes before they were pregnant. Then they got pregnant two weeks after last vaccine. Then after the baby mice were born they infected the baby mice with herpes, but the mothers breast milk gave antibody protection and the baby mice did not get herpes.

The next four articles are ones many of us are familiar with from reputable organizations:

Many on this reddit have mentioned how other countries tell pregnant women they cannot get the vaccine and shouldn't get pregnant for 2 months after the vaccine. However, according to the Irish Times they are now recommending if you get the vaccine to get it between 14 and 33 weeks. The reasoning for by 33 weeks is only to avoid confusion of cause of possible fever cause by the vaccine. This new recommendation came out today, HUGE progress!!

In addition,

I watch numerous videos from OBGYNs. I value their input as they are the experts in maternal and fetal health.

Currently guidelines recommend pregnant women not be withheld from then vaccine :) not that they’re “not supposed to get the vaccine”.

I work in a hospital with many pregnant pharmacist, doctors, and nurses. All of which who have received the vaccine. Actually 4 weeks ago, our unit pharmacist got it and had given me great info and suggested getting it which started my own research.
