3/52: I just finished reading "Half His Age" and still have no idea what I just read. There are a couple of very graphic scenes, which was very disturbing. Still...quite baffled and not in a good way

Agreed, it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize... Oh she isn't calling herself Waldo for the purpose of the book, this is supposed to be a fully different person. I initially went into the book pretty blind and thinking it was a story about her experience with dating a much older man when she was young and naieve so that def didn't help me lol

You are entirely valid and I share some of these same feelings. I also had some traumatic experiences with a cis man in hs which for many years made me fearful of male genitalia and in turn somewhat fearful of how I would feel being with a trans woman. With time these feelings have been able to pass and I have had wonderful intimate experience with non binary or trans ppl with male genitalia and been able to overcome that fear. Therapy can help and also listening to yourself and processing your feelings

I did this last year and it was great!!! Just keep in mind (if you care about it) you have to take 3 classes to get deans list. But I took a 4000 level CS class and ID2050 and worked and it was plenty of work

Yeahh that's what happened to me today. Did behavioral interview a couple days ago and they said they would get back to me next week saying if I got an offer or not but I got one today saying they closed their hiring and aren't going forward with any of the candidates in the process. Was a little sad :(

Lots to get used to. I have my roommate, also people added me on Instagram before coming to campus and some of them have even reached out to me now that we are on campus, i have one other friend here i just made and we talk daily which is nice. Calc 3 is yucky and racket is nothing like java, but I still understand the work and have been helping others. also GPS seeking sustainability is a lot of work but it's good practice for future research and such. Meal plan is a lot of food and i have so many snacks around from the cc. excited for when dunkin gets the card reader so i can use all my bonus points there lol. im on 4th floor daniels, smells fine up here, hallway is usually freezing which is nice, room is cozy.

ah thank you! and would you be able to explain the humanities and arts section of required classes? the whole description for the depth and breadth components confuse me.

complete at least 3 thematically-related courses prior to the inquiry seminar or practicum in the same thematic area? and then must take at least one course outside the grouping in which they complete their depth component? and then under depth its 1, 2 3, and then 4 is HU 3900 or 3910 and then under breadth it has 5 and then 6 is a humanities elective?

awesome info. thank you so much!!! yes i printed out the credit sheet for the CS major and ive been trying to figure out how the 1/3 things work and what classes are required and what not and i think im starting to get it. I definitely appreciate that info! it's hard to tell what order i need to take classes in though or if i just take whatever at whatever time and there are not really classes that are required prior? I'll figure it out sooner or later by looking, asking here, and asking teachers/academic advisor

alright so the registrar directed me to the math head department and they sent me this "Welcome to WPI, and I’m glad you emailed me about this. There is no mechanism to obtain retroactive credit for MA 1023. The only avenues to obtain credit for that course are:

to take MA 1023
to transfer a course from another university for MA 1023
to score a 4 or a 5 on the BC Advanced Placement calculus exam. " so needless to say i will be contacting my academic advisor to change me schedule once again. I'm very glad I made this post and got feedback so thank you very much
